Can Poch

Me and my husband recently stayed here for 11 days. We opted for the double en-suite. Every day Marissa comes in and spotlessly cleans everywhere, changes towels daily and bed linen often. You have to share a kitchen and lounge area but really if you do get a couple to share with, on our experience both the couples we shared with for a few days each were very friendly and thoughtful, I did not mind the shared area at all. There is a self contained flat if you don't want to share. The whole place is spotless, even the gardens which are beautiful. Chickens too in their pen. It is a very lovely, tranquil place and I definitely will be returning. We normally go to this area as the beaches are beautiful and all the nearby towns of Begur and Pals too. Always lots to do and so many amazing restaurants to eat in.

We had a fantastic short stay at Can Poch. The hosts were extremely kind and helpful. The apartment was spacious, air conditioning in the living room and a fan in the bedroom for the children. Despite the fact that the house is close to a bigger road, it is beautifully located and very quiet. The first thing we saw when we approached the gate of the house was a couple of hoopoes! We very much enjoyed the swimming pool and the beautifully maintained garden with lots of trees for necessary shadow. The house is very close to the medieval part of Pals, and also conveniently located for the direction of the beaches. Can Poch is a true pearl in the hart of Costa Brava! It’s owners are very kind and friendly persons. We would love to come back!

My family of four stayed here in June. The owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome (in their limited English with our limited Spanish). We stayed in a large two-bedroom apartment with plenty of room to unwind and furniture and decorations that were interesting but still felt comfortable after a day of hiking or biking. The property was hard to locate when we first arrived, but turned out to be in a perfect location from which to explore Costa Brava. The breakfasts were wonderful, with eggs from the property, and fresh bread, fruit and tomatoes, along with cereal, yogurt, cheese and hard sausages. It was nice to have a big green lawn and swimming pool for the kids to relax in at the end of the day. The only downside to our rooms was the very firm mattresses and a shower that tended to leak water around the bottom of the shower curtain.

My husband and young daughter stayed here in early June. I cannot speak highly enough of our hosts. After a nightmare 11 hour delay at Stansted and an awful time getting lost (don't rely on hire car GPS navigation use Google Maps) - we arrived at midnight and Joachim and Marisa were there to welcome us. Can Poch is beautiful - the apartments spacious and serviced daily - the pool wonderful - its just lovely. The communal kitchen is fantastic. Just one thing you might want to bring your own kettle and tea and coffee if you are early risers (there is no tea and coffee making facilities in the apartments). I couldn't recommend this place highly enough.

We stayed in this hotel in May 2014 and it was beautiful. The owners are very nice, friendly and welcoming. Our room was just fabulous! Lovely decoration, big clean bathroom and absolutely looked after! It is 15 minutes walk away from Pals! Great place to relax and enjoy! Breakfast was very good- different kind of meats, cheese, fruits, juices and eggs! One of the best places we have every stayed at! Would definitely return! Stunning building!
