We stayed here for 12 nights in October 2021. The hotel has a great location being on the sea front with a small sand/rocky beach and within 5 minutes walk of a great selection of bars and restaurants. It's also right next door to The Tombs of the Kings historical sight. We arrived by car having driven from Larnaca airport and there was plenty of parking in the underground car park as well as golf lockers to store our 2 sets of clubs. Check-in was smooth but the main issue we had with this hotel became apparent once we were shown to our room. We had paid extra for a (full) sea view room but standing in the room there was no sign of the sea, just a view across the swimming pool area. If we stood at one end of the balcony we could actually see the sea but it is what I would describe as a side sea view at best. When we mentioned our disappointment to the guy delivering our cases he said the sea view was no longer there because the trees had grown too tall!! Well, if the room hasn't got a proper sea view then don't rip people off by making them pay for one. We couldn't be bothered making a proper complaint so just accepted the room we were given and got on with our holiday. The room itself wasn't a particularly large room but it was perfectly ok. The bed was large and comfy, there was plenty of storage space, the safe was a decent size and a number of the plugs also had USB charging points built in (as well as being of the UK 3-pin type). The included wi-fi worked well everywhere including out by the pool. On the downside the balcony chairs were horribly uncomfortable and the coffee was sachets of instant coffee (at this price I would have expected some kind of pod based coffee machine). The bathroom was quite small and felt a little dated and the shower was an over bath shower which felt quite cramped and the water flow wasn't particularly good. Breakfast was mixed. Overall there was a pretty good selection of hot & cold food and the service was very good (as it was throughout the hotel). For some reason toast was only available at the egg station and you had to ask for it but the porridge was very nice (especially with a bit of maple syrup drizzled in). The main problem was that most of the "hot" food was lukewarm at best. We thought this might just be something that happened on our first day but it was the same throughout our stay. Thankfully HP Sauce was provided so no need to take your own! Breakfast was the only meal we took in the hotel and I wouldn't book anything more than B&B as there are so many restaurants to choose from within a few minutes walk from the hotel (we would particularly recommend Jackie Ma's Chinese where we ate several times). At the time we travelled Covid precautions were still in place and it was good to see the hotel taking them seriously with lots of masks and sanitising stations available around the building. The pool complex was a good size and the sunbeds comfortable but they suffer from the usual problem of people rushing out early to put a towel on the bed and then going back to bed/breakfast for hours before actually using them. This means if you're down a bit later there are no beds around the pool but we found that there was usually a cabana available down by the small beach. Overall this hotel has a lot of positives but there are a number of areas that could do with some attention not least of which is reviewing the definition of a sea view room.
Absolutely stunning hotel 🏨

Outstanding in every way, from the concierge to the front desk, bar staff, restaurant staff and housekeeping all were exceptional. Would highly recommend, protocol around Covid were excellent and even hand sanitiser in the lifts! Everyone without exception wore a mask in all areas of the hotel!
Paradise, truly - mostly thanks to Yoranmka!

This hotel is heaven on earth. Every staff member is attentive and so efficient and generous let alone friendly. The rooms are stunning, I would recommend shelling out the slight extra for the patio / plunge pool - tacos etc. included a swell. The SPA BLEW ME AWAY! Yordamka was and is AMAZING! I am a member of the Shelbourne Hotel Spa in Dublin which is regarded as one of the world's best - I had three treatments from Yordanmka - and all I can say is, she deserves a raise. So kind, knows exactly what she's going and just AMAZING. My back is cured, my sinuses and I just feel so happy. Thank you Yoranmka. P.S. Food all amazing and if a special occasion (was my girlfriend's birthday) they left cake, champagne, liquors, cards, so much. This is a beautiful hotel where customer experience is at an all time high, and even better you can tell employee experience is too - they love what they do, get taken after well and you can see it. I will be now back every year. Thanks everyone :)
A great hotel with one big but...

There is so much to like about this hotel. The staff are simply fantastic , attentive without being obsequious . The food is first rate. The hotel is spotless , the spa is A1, the rooms comfortable and the grounds, pools and beach beautiful and well attended. There is just one problem. The endless, pointless, hideous musak in seemingly every area of the hotel. This is particularly irritating in the dining area when the endless rolling CD seems to switch between a wannabe Adele who actually should audition for a remake of pinky and perky and a wailing , flat, tuneless tenor. Whoever chose this music should join the CIA special renditions unit..it is torture. I have never understood why hotels and restaurants think humans are incapable of conversation or eating without background music. It was the same story at Paphos harbour. Blaring music and empty restaurants. Luckily during the day one could escape to far corners of the lawn or the beach to escape it..yes the bar muzak starts at 10. I feel sad to say we could never return because in all other respects I cannot think of a better hotel: if you are immune to muzak you will absolutely love it.
First opportunity to get away after Covid, and delighted to find the Elysium as good as ever.
