Well what can I say, yes it's not the Ritz but the Ritz is not the paphiessa. It's a lovely place to stay with friendly staff at reception and bar who can give you information on tourist attractions and arrange taxis etc. can't comment on restaurant staff as I never used the facilities. Rooms are fine, beds comfy, maids in every other day sometimes every day. terrace/patio areas large with sun loungers etc. 1 large pool and 1 children's pool next to outside eating area. It's nice to spark up a conversation with the owner who can also give you ideas of where to explore. Yes it's a little bit worn around the edges in places but you could go stay at a 4*/5* hotel and not feel as comfy and relaxed as at the paphiessa where I will be going back to ❤️☀️🏖️😎

Not my first time in Paphiessa! Totally loved everything, the room was always clean with all the comforts, the people working at be the Reception always kind and helpful (they told us everything about Paphos and helped us where to go and what to visit), breakfast and generally the food so great! Paphos is also the place to be, either with friends or family!! Will come back this summer!!
Refused to give back my items

Our stay was fine. Its an old fashioned little hotel and the food was fine. However I left a number of items behind.. my fault I know... they said that they did find items in the room, but the only way to retrieve them was to return to get them... obviously this was not an option but they would not give me any other choice. I now have to go buy new clothes for my next holiday, when I would much rather have just paid to post them back... this has never happened when we left stuff behind in other hotels.

Stayed at the paphiessa for two weeks Yes it's a bit older But couldn't have asked for better for the price Sheets changed nearly every day beds made up clean towels etc cleaners do an excellent job Everything you needed two ring cooker microwave fridge even a toaster The boss and staff couldn't do enough to help you Given its a 3star hotel l would give it 5 star Keep up the good work guys Only two small things l would have liked to have seen a bigger choice on the menu and a music or film channel in English on TV in your room But definitely stay again great value for what we got Thanks nikos and staff for making our holiday the best it could be

Was allocated this hotel (without any choice) by Mercury Holidays when the original hotel (Crown Resorts Horizon at Coral Bay) suddenly stopped taking guests. Not impressed with Mercury or this hotel. It is located next to a Petrol Station with the front of the hotel on a rather shabby side-street and the back of the hotel on a busy main road. Can't think of anything particularly good or bad to say about it - just that it was "barely adequate". Meals were not brilliant - although they were edible. Cyprus is full of orange trees and you can get a fresh orange drink everywhere - except this hotel. Orange juice at breakfast came from a dispenser and was so diluted you could barely taste the orange - the same applied to the grapefruit juice, Apart from a group of 30-40 well-behaved Romanian teenagers I would guess there were only 10-12 other guests there. I had a ground-floor "studio" that had a small kitchen area containing fridge, microwave, twin hotplate and kettle. The kettle did not work so asked for a replacement which I was given although that only heated the water to lukewarm. Gave up on that! There was a bath with a shower but unfortunately the bath-plug wasn't quite the right size so a lot of the water drained away. No problem, just use the shower. Wrong! This was a conventional shower with the shower-head on a vertical rail but regrettably it wouldn't stay in position and always dropped to it's lowest level, i.e. that of a small child. On my final day there I decided, out of curiosity, to check the smoke alarm in the room. Pressed the TEST button but nothing happened. Opened the cover and found there wasn't a battery - just lots of cobwebs. Hate to think what a Cyprus hotel Inspector would make of this. Regarding the staff they all looked (with one exception) as if they couldn't wait for their shift to finish. The exception was Jamie who ran the bar and acted as Duty Manager during the evening. As others have said he was always helpful and cheerful and without him I would have only given this review 1 star. At about 1km+ from the centre of Paphos it is probably considered as being in walking distance - although not exactly on the seafront. I would certainly not stay there again and would not recommend it to anyone else.
