It is not a hotel , is a very expensive old dirty iper noisy building with very very very small dirty rooms. Extremely uncomfortable , you can hear everythings from other rooms and you can't sleep for the crowd in the street , really a lot of people .No lift from ground floor , only from the first floor !!!!! Big problem with baggage.
Never never never go in "hotel " des cannettes.
Would not return.

Well... where should I start, you definitely get what you pay for. Nothing less and nothing more, however I expected it to be more clean. There was literally black mold in the whole bathroom and it smelled awful. There was even hair on the shower walls that had not been removed in probably ages. At first we only got one towel but afterwards we got another one, where we also found some more hair. The bed was honestly was like sleeping on the and the pillows were hard like stone. We didn’t have an amazing view but at least we could open our window to get some fresh air. We had different staff and of course different experience with each one, some were honestly rude and uninterested while others were a little more service minded. I guess the place was a alright, it had an elevator, a tv, a barely working wi-fi and a fan. It was also really loud at nights with a lot of people running down the stairs and talking loud. Our conclusion is that we would not return.
Old and Rundown hotel - Don't stay here and ruin your trip

Be aware! This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. The only good thing about this hotel is its location: very central with lots of restaurants and shops nearby in the lovely Saint Germain des Pres neighborhood. But the location has some downsides too, I’ll come to that.
I spent two nights in this hotel on a weekend (April 2019). When I walked in to the room, I was shocked. I could not believe this was the hotel that I booked. It is in such a bad shape. Mold and pealing walls are everywhere, rooms are really dirty (hair, dirt and dust everywhere on walls, floor, shower…). Sheets looked alright: otherwise I would have just walked out.
Rooms are very small. You have to choose between two types of rooms: rooms that have a window overlooking to a very dirty small ventilation hole or rooms overlooking to a very noisy street. We opted for the second one to have some air at least. But the windows are so bad that you hear all the noise in the evening as if people are in your room! The street has plenty of restaurants and bars, so in the evening it’s very noisy – actually until morning, people are just on the street screaming and laughing. Forget about a good night sleep, if that’s in your plans. I was exhausted when I wake up in the morning.
Other negatives: The hotel reception and the elevator are on the first floor. You have to carry your luggage on a tiny and tight staircase to the first floor at least. If you have large and heavy luggage, be aware that it can be difficult.
Bathroom - shower area is very tiny. If I were 6 feet (1.8m) - 200 lbs (100 kg) man it would be impossible to take a shower.
You can't open the windows and there is no A/C in the rooms. Avoid especially for a stay in summer.
Even the location cannot justify its price. It is hugely over priced. I would not recommend this hotel.
Good hotel in great area

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The area is great with many restaurants nearby and central to many main attractions. A few reviews mentioned it being noisy at night, however we did not find this at all. Rooms are quite warm, but as we stayed in winter we did not mind. Rooms are small and ‘queen sized bed’ was actually 2 small singles, however they were clean and for the price we could not complain. Would definitely stay here again.
Great location for night owls.

Small, and not the cleanest of places, but I've seen worse. If you like to stay up all night and go to pubs. This hotel sits at the best location. The wifi/internet connection is the biggest downside.
