Situated between Saint Germain des Pres and Montparnasse, the LOUISON HOTEL is a chic hotel in the centre of Paris. With nineteenth century furniture, cherry and chestnut tones on the walls, marble floors and a courtyard garden, the LOUISON captures the spirit of the Left Bank in every detail. The hotel was constructed in 1856 to welcome the painters, sculptors and writers who would go on to put the Latin quarter at the very heart of European culture. This cultural heritage is present even in the bedrooms. Tastefully decorated, they generate a feeling of calm and a sensual ambiance. The charmi...

Favorite hotel in Paris

Reviewed 3 november, 2021

Extremely welcoming and familiar little hotel in cozy Montparnasse. Amazing staff which always was nice, willing to help and give advice. Fresh, new renovated entrance and room and also access to a lovely breakfast. The best!

Fantastic Location for our Stay!

Absolutely wonderful service by their 24/7 staff! Breakfast was tasty and the nightly aperitif was most welcome. The staff was knowledgeable and where to visit while in Paris and everyone was exceptionally nice. The rooms were lovely and the housekeeping was on point. Will only stay here when in Paris from now on!

Location, and customer service, make up for the quaint, small rooms (which are all you need if out touring the city)

Reviewed 20 october, 2021

The location, attentive front desk, evening refreshments, and even historical significance of this place, are worth it for my wife and I who have stayed hear on several occasions, and make up for the quaint, small rooms. An example of the type of customer service: I needed a Covid test, and asked for a suggestion on where to take it; they informed me of the pharmacy nearby and all was great, until I noticed that my wife’s test result came back with the wrong birth date. This issue surely was not the problem of the hotel, but late Saturday night after the pharmacy closed (and would not open until Monday morning, the day of our departure), I sought the help of the front desk attendee, Ulysse, and he went OVER AND BEYOND what I would expect honestly. He reached the health ministry on my behalf, got some input from colleagues and friends, and shared with me the options to consider to alleviate my concerns, and the whole matter was resolved by Monday morning. And Ulysse even emailed me directly after I left to ensure all went well at the airport. It’s a simple experience that exemplifies the type of service you can expect. The simple and small rooms, when you’re out and about the whole day, are just enough of what you need so you can focus on the city, and be comfortable when you come back.

Extremely hard beds & average breakfast

Reviewed 21 september, 2020

Unfortunately my stay was not as expected. First impressions were good. The hotel is centrally located and the room was a decent size by Paris standards. There was also a bath tub. However the bed was so hard and uncomfortable that I was unable to sleep all night. Only two very flat pillows are provided and there were no other pillows in the room. Furthermore, it is necessary to order breakfast in advance and you need to collect it downstairs in the morning. The next morning, my husband went down to collect it but it was not ready. They had totally forgotten about the order. When we did get our breakfast, it was very average. We did pass on our feedback about the beds and breakfast upon check-out but apart from taking note of our comments, nothing else was done. We were due to stay in the hotel again in one week but we have since cancelled our reservation. I would not recommend this hotel or stay here again.

My friend came to Paris two days ago when the country first went into shut down as this was the only place we could fly back home from. All the other hotels were closed and lucky enough we found this one. They were able to accommodate me last minute as well. The staff has been super friendly, kind and understanding. The room is great and location as well. Paris is one of my favorite cities and will definitely be staying when I come back.
