The Five Hotel

Very good experience! The best of the whole week! Wonderful food from the chefs: Mina, Pedro, Otoniel, Rogelio & Felipe. And very special thanks to Martin Javier for the awesome service! La crème de la crème! Le meilleur restaurant et surtout le meilleur service de tout l'hôtel!

My sister and I stayed here for 2 nights & we had nothing bad to say about it. The staff were friendly (particularly the young lady on the front desk), the room was small but nice & the location was great for us. We don’t mind using the busses and metro so it was easy to get around. Some of the decor is questionable but our room was fine. We didn’t have the breakfast so can’t comment on that - we would rather have explored new places. They let us store our bags after check out which was nice!

We stayed at The Five Hotel for 5 nights and had a good stay . We stayed in a classic double room at the back of the hotel which was rather small But it was clean and tidy and we had enough space for our belongings. The bathroom was really tiny though, me and my partner are petite people and we were only just okay with moving about . I would worry about larger people not fitting in.. Our room was located at the back of the hotel where there is currently building work going on in the proximity . There was a lot of noise and workers shouting to each other around 7-8am every morning .. It didn’t personally bother me enough to ask to change rooms, but still a bit annoying and others may not be as forgiving . The location is good - There is a national strike on transport services in Paris at the moment and most metro lines are only running during rush hour . There is a metro called Les Goblins about a 6 min walk from the hotel and an RER station called Port Royal about 8-10 minutes away . Instead we walked pretty much everywhere in Paris , about 6 hours a day and so it was pretty tiring - not the hotels fault of course ! They helped as much as possible with transport queries . The hotel is located a 10 min walk from the Latin Quarter . The beautiful cobbled street is filled with many french cuisine restaurants and bistros. You will find other cuisines and street food also. It was very ideal being near the hotel after a long day and all the restaurants were accommodating of us just turning up without reserving . Many offer a fixed price menu too so helpful to budget better . Overall , we enjoyed our stay at the five hotel . The staff were friendly and the hotel was clean . We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel but there are boulangeries close by where we grabbed croissants and baguettes for our Day. We would return !

We went to this hotel during holidays with family. It is small but well located to discover the Quartier Latin by foot (esp during strikes ;-)) Staff is nice. Breakfast is simple and good incl eggs, bred, croissants, fruits, juice... Good restaurants around. We had the “suite”. It is rather small, except the bathroom which is huge. The heating was good in the bed room and bathroom but the other room was cold. Both the bed and the sofa bed were comfortable. (For info for families pictures on the wall of the room are a bit sexy).

Coming from somebody that has travelled the world I find five to be much more than satisfactory. The most incredible part of my experience was the hygiene, it is by far the cleanest hotel I have ever stepped foot in .. especially the gym area which I believe Naveed (housekeeping) is accountable for. Immaculate !!! A must visit
