Avoid at all cost

My partner booked for us to stay at this hotel as an anniversary gift. The hotel room was ok but smelt really bad of sewage and we had two small pillows, my partner asked reception if we could have an extra pillow which has never been an issue in any other hotel but the reception staff looked at us like we were aliens asking why we need more when we have one each. He then proceeded to tell us he would have to check with the cleaners the day after. The next day my partner asked again and they had to take one out of someone else's room to give to us!. The room was ridiculously noisy with people fighting and smashing bottles outside at all hours. On our last night the fire alarm went off from the shower which it had done with two other people during out time there and the manager came into our room without knocking and screamed in my face shouting and pointing absolutely disgusting. To top it off the next morning due to check out at 11.00 the cleaner was banging the door down trying to get in the room at 10.00 shouting at my husband asking why we were still there ! The customer service is disgusting I wouldn't stay there again if you paid me.
Bit of TLC needed.

Clean but tired. Needs some TLC and updating. Our room was very small with minimal storage. A slim wardrobe in the corner. No drawers. The bed was comfortable but the thin bedding wasn't very warm. We asked at reception for an extra blanket to be told "we don't have any there is a heater in the room". There was quite a lot of noise at all hours in the corridor. If it's like this in January, I suspect it's terrible in busier months. Coffee/tea facilities in the room would be good. There is a machine in the reception area where you can get refreshments for €1 but the cups were tiny. Breakfast was very simple but tasty and filling. No meats or fresh fruit but plenty of cereal, bread, croissants, conserves, yogurt, tea/coffee and fruit juice. The staff in the cellar restaurant worked so hard to keep things topped up and tables clean and they were very friendly. If you want budget accommodation and somewhere to simply rest your head, this hotel would be suitable.
Overnight stop was perfect.

Lovely hotel tucked away off main street. Room was good, roomy, clean and comfortable. Very close to metro, shops and restaurants. Good price too. Staff friendly, has a lift, clean small bathroom. A good stopover.
One night in Paris.

We only stayed one night in Paris. Checked in around 4PM and we decided to take a nap after already a whole day of walking around in Paris. During that nap a cleaning lady woke us up ? Don’t know why. But okay. In the middle of the night the fire alarms went off, 2nd time woken up. And than in the morning at 9.30AM the cleaning lady again came in despite the sign at the door... Our one night in Paris became a night where we were woken up a lot.
Good bed though, very small bathroom and no thing the hang up the shower...
Small rooms but clean

Excellent location for visiting Paris. We arrived by train and was a 15 minute walk to the hotel. There are as many restaurants and cafes close by as you can shake a stick at. The metro is also very close by. Within walking distance of the Louvre (just - about 30 mins).
The rooms are small. I mean small. There was a (small) wardrobe but no drawers. The en suite was so small I am convinced a large person could not sit straight on the toilet. The shower cubicle was, small, but at least the shower was powerful and hot. There was no coffee/tea making facilities and no air conditioning. The receptionists were very friendly and happy for us to leave our bags there on check out for free. Breakfast is continental style and a bit limited (cold croissants, no cheese or meats).
Several fire doors were wedged open by the staff and any fire in the basement (where the kitchen is) would take out the whole ground floor as there is no separation. I only hope the fire detection and alarm work.
If you're only staying for a few days this is a good place to use as a base for exploring Paris on a budget, but I do have concerns that your safety isn't their major concern.
