The beautiful architecture, the well designed interior, the comfortable pretty room, the balcony to watch people walk by, the delicious breakfast made our time in Pátzcuaro very fun. But the most important- the staff was first rate- Lety at the front desk, bellboy who helped with luggage and the hardworking waiter for breakfast on the patio. We will absolutely return.
Very nice stay!

We chose this hotel on our first post Covid vaccine trip and we couldn't have been happier. As others have noted, despite being a colonial era structure, it is kept in great condition and it is a beautiful hotel in the colonial style. We had a room looking out onto the main square and it was a delight to enjoy the views of the town activity from our balcony. The room was large and comfortable with all the amenities you could wish for. We never did figure how to work the cable box but Netflix was on the SmartTV and worked very well. There were a lot of step-ups and step-downs in our room and while that was not a problem for us, it is something to be aware of. The location is perfect, within walking distance of everything including many great restaurants and coffee shops. We would not hesitate to stay here again.
Loved this old Hacienda

Built in the late 1700's, I believe, it's a lovely place. Our room was on the side instead of facing the square which made it a little quieter. Right on the Plaza Vasco de Quiroga it's a perfect location. The plaza is very beautiful and filled with activity. It is mainly a destination for Mexican tourists. We saw only about a dozen gringos in our three days there so you need to brush up on your Spanish. We had breakfast on the sidewalk in front of the hotel, beautiful in the morning. The dining room inside was be renovated while we were there. Wonderful staff, very funky, sweet rooms. We extended our stay for an extra night and paid a cheaper rate than we did through booking.com. We'd would stay there again any time.

I’ve stayed at a number of colonial style hotels but this is the best. Very large rooms that have been well maintained. The entire place is very historic and all furnishings match the period, even though they are new. Although we had a window, it had no view as we were beside the back patio. The coffee machine, the room safe, the TV were all recent. Furniture and cupboards were generous, which is often a problem when 2 travellers share a room. This place had 2 valet stands because, yeah we do have 2 suitcases. There were lots of hangers, which again is often a factor where other hotels fall short. Not this hotel, which had 4 closets. Pillows were plentiful, towels were fluffy, soap & other provided toiletries were first rate. Staff were terrific and all you had to do was ask (in Spanish) and they fell over each other trying to help. The restaurant downstairs is another story. It had insufficient staff so that one morning there was no hot service, just Continental breakfast. Another morning there was no bread. Food is not included, so you don’t need to eat there, although when the chef was there, it was delicious and well prepared. Any other historic hotel will pale in comparison.

Great value for the price. Located in the heart of this colonial town directly across from the central plaza. Comfortable accommodations with beautiful rooms. Restaurant and bar on the grounds. Wonderful front desk hospitality as well .
