Very pleasant stay in stunning area
Our group has very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel! The rooms were convenient and the staff made you feel at home instantly. Worth mentioning in particular is also the outstanding breakfast buffet. Moreover, the hotel serves as a fantastic base to discover Penela and the stunning area surrounding it. We cannot recommend staying here enough!
An example of how a hotel staff should be
It was our choice to stay a couple of days nearby for a friend's event. Was a very good surprise and, most likely, we will return again. Traveling with a big family and taking a couple of rooms, all the staff was very helpful in having all the requests in place. A very good breakfast with a lot of choices and local products. We only had time to use the SPA/pool for an hour or so but it felt very nice (specially because we were the only ones there)
Great for a Day Spa in the summer
There aren't many places in the area where you can actually go and spend a more pampered day. But if it is summer (the pool is tiny and the jacuzzi in the pool so not hot) then you get an outside pool, some outside double loungers and some pretty lovely scenery. Then it is a worth it. Call before to check prices as they change in different seasons.
Weekend with the family
Manage to fit 2 adults and 2 children quite well in one room with two extra beds. The hotel is very nice, very good interiors, wonderful gardens and open spaces outside, with a river and cascade nearby. Interior pool that can be a bit crowd on busy weekends, but nevertheless very pleasant. Good breakfast and overall sympathy of the staff.
Lovely break
Very nice hotel. Good value for money. Comfortable room and very tasty breakfast with lots of choices. Easy to find, beautiful location by the river. Friendly staff. Handy to have a bar on sight, also Spa and indoor pool although we did not use it.
