Staff: Very helpful and friendly staff! Since I myself did not want to go with scooter or car on Nusa Penida, the staff has always organized me a reliable driver / tours even at short notice. The staff was approachable at all times and responded to all inquiries and small requests (e.g. more water bottles, more toilet paper, etc.). Accommodation: My cute bungalow had absolutely everything I needed and the location was very quiet, so far I slept best here. Facilities: The accommodation had everything I needed: - Air conditioning, - TV (I did not use), - desk, - sitting area, - refrigerator, - kettle, cups + tea bags/nescafé/sugar. - Hair dryer and even a new toothbrush + toothpaste, - cosmetic wipes, soap, shampoo etc. - mosquito curtain around the bed (but I didn't need it here) - new slippers The bathroom is super nice and the bathroom facilities in my bungalow (Malibu Beach Room 3) looked very new and clean. Location: The accommodation is on the beach, you can walk to the beach, however, I went to other beaches for swimming, etc.. 3 minutes walk away is a nice restaurant/café with super nice ambiance. Here I was every evening eat. S Breakfast: You could order food/drinks from a menu. I always ordered a Joy Bowl, which was very large and delicious. In addition, I always ordered a large coffee. The staff was also super nice to pack and give me breakfast for my trips in the morning. Icg liked to take my pancake from breakfast to the beach and the staff even baked me new pancakes on their own. Cleanliness/Hygiene: Super clean. Every day the room was cleaned and used up items (soap, cosmetic pieces, etc) were replenished. Wi-Fi: They have a new Wi-Fi which worked well for me (only messaged, made WhatsApp calls to Germany). Conclusion: I will definitely come back next year!
New Year’s Stay

We always stay here everytime we go to Nusa Penida. The people are so nice and it made us feel like home. Breakfast is nice, the fruit was always fresh! The only thing is the WIFI is not strong enough. If you someone who travel and work from your computer, you’d struggle. But otherwise a great stay!
Name needs to change to Ocean Terrace budget accomodation

The staff are loverly and very helpfu and this review is not aimed at them at alll. We checked in and waited in the sweltering heat why they prepared our room?. Eventually we were shown to a little villa. We unpacked and settled in. Half an hour later we were asked to pack everything shift to another villa as this one was owned by someone else? She meant the villa's were privately owned, and the owner of our villa we were staying was not paid for our visit.. We moved into a somewhat downgraded room same size just not as nice, a downgrade. I explained we we annoyed at the muck around and they returned with juice. What we didn't realise is due them being privately owned the owners paid for such normalities as toilet paper and water bottles and they were charged by the Ocean Terraces for what we used. So we were rationed to one toilet roll 2 little bottles of water and 3 sachets of coffee. We are a couple so this was frustrating. It is annoying when you are staying in advertised luxury spa that you have to do this and ask for what you should be included in the price. The air conditioning was also on a budget has it seemed set to about 26 and wasn't cool at all. The kettle didn't turn off and before we realised that had almost boiled itself dry as we were outside talking. The shower is outside and very pleasant however its on round pebbles/rocks, so we ended up wearing Jandles/flipflops/thongs to avoid stone bruises, The web says it has a restaurant it does. Its closed due to covid so we ended up walking 10 minutes each way for meals. Not ideal in the rain or dark as there are no street lights or taxi's Breakfast was great and the food was very good. If it wasn't for the fact we felt we were staying in a glorified back packers we would have been ok, we would have bought our own water and toilet paper. There are a lot of accomodation on the island , we will be trying another next time we visit. Sorry but we cannot recommend this place.
I've had better experience in hostels

This property has great potential. Location is gorgeous, rooms are spacious and the property is expansive. The staff also try their best. However, many things were a complete let down. Despite being the only guests on the property, our room was still not ready by the time we showed up at 3 PM and the shower handle broke. By the time we returned from our day at 9 PM, the room was still not ready (see pics I submitted) and so we decided to switch rooms. The new room was adequate, but throughout the night the electricity kept cutting in and out, which meant that the AC stopped and started incessantly; leading to a restless night. Don't even get me started on the WiFi and unfiltered coffee; both of which were non-existent (which hotel doesn't have a coffee!?). I get that these are tough times and the staff kept attributing issues to 'COVID', but honestly a lot of things had nothing to do with the pandemic - The electricity, broken shower handle, no coffee/wifi, and not getting our room ready on time have nothing to do with the current situation. This is a great property that can be so so so much better.
Calm place.. food for the soul

Good: The view of the hotel was spectacular. It was peaceful and quite. We also loved the orange juice welcome drink. The hotel is also near attractions like Atuh beach (the best beach in Nusa Penida!). Bad: The mosquito net was dirty because it was directly in front of the aircon vents. They should check it and clean it before someone checks in.
