Decided to stop over here on first night of travelling around Lakes and Yorkshire and weren't disappointed. Lovely hotel, nice room well decorated and lovely bathroom. Very comfortable and enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was excellent and hope to return here at a later date again
Not really a deluxe room.

This “deluxe” room was really a family room with bunk beds folded against the wall not really deluxe at all. Bathroom smelt damp and nowhere to stand anything. Room itself had a very comfortable bed but again room was average. Breakfast was fine and on the last night we ate in the restaurant. Both the food and the service were excellent.
A great stay and we will be back !

A very good stay during the Covid-19 pandemic. Exceptional standards of cleaning, mask wearing, one-way systems etc. Breakfast was enjoyed by all 4 of us, and there was a big enough selection to please all of us. Comfortable bed, pillows and bed linen. All staff were very polite and helpful. All food we had in the restaurant was incredibly tasty and well presented. The terrace was a nice surprise as the weather was lovely.
Good location to explore Penrith

A little hard to find as no picture on any website. Welcome was lovely. We’d booked dinner- good job as fully booked! Air con isn’t! More like a gentle dragon puffing out 25o which you “must not alter or you will be severely fined” luckily brought own fan. Photos of food looked very 5* drizzle on Booking.com, but actually more was like a Mexican/spicy/chicken kebabs style place. Run out of Sunday Roast by 7pm. We had fish and chips which I assume was cooked next door and it was superb! Room 5 was noisy until late evening as it overlooked the parking for the Spar, but later it was quiet and the bed (super king) was comfortable. Breakfast was ok, never fond of coiled sausage as only partially well cooked. Couple of problems but staff took onboard and very happy to remedy so no mention here. Parking nearby using Cumbrian disc covered till 9- when breakfast finishes. Easy move to the bus car park with reasonable charges and free toilets. Perfectly situated for walking around town - hours of walkways and coffee shops and bars- very impressed!

Went out for a meal and drinks with friends to Foundry34. The food was excellent! Very tasty, lots of choice, good portions. The desserts were good too. Good selection of drinks, my only gripe is for non alcohol drinkers I feel it’s a bit poor, it would be nice to see a non alcoholic cider, beer or wine. Even the non alcohol cocktails sound quite boring and unappealing. Felt very safe and comfortable in there. Staff were pleasant and friendly. Had a really lovely evening.
