Disgusting

Filthy, bring your own toilet paper as none provided - and you will need if you’re foolhardy enough to eat anything there. Would never ever recommend this “hotel”... treacherous staircase, everything is too much trouble for these guys especially cleaning and attending to guests

Awful is a generous word for this place

This Chambre de Hote was recommended by the Perpignon tourist information service. They should know better. Against our better judgment we decided to stay because we had no energy to find another place. We should have gone with our first instinct: leave! Among other things that were not working: -the showed drain was plugged -the shower handle fell off mid shower and we were unable to shut it off (not a good thing when the drain is plugged) -the floors were plywood and soft and sagging in places -the front door lock did not work -the couch had a broken leg -no A/C, which may not be too bad but the window opened to a small hot box -the cleanliness of the bedding was seriously suspect We slept in our sleeping bags and left as early as possible.

The worst establishment ever!

This 'hotel' was so bad that we could not stay here and had to book in elsewhere. On arrival, at the end of a dark alley which stank of urine, I pressed the flat style call bell only to be told that I should try calling back at 6pm!! Reluctantly, a scruffy man appeared at the door saying he wasn't expecting us but could look at the room. There was no way I could have trusted him to even let me back in later, so never returned to endure the stay.

France within four walls

When coming to Perpignan my boyfriend let me pick the Hotel, and he was greatly impressed with my choice, in fact even I was. The pictures do not do justice to how lovely it is inside- it fits Perpignan as a city perfectly, the old marred with the new and trendy perfectly. Having read other reviews of the place I can see their point, although I think they miss the point. Walking in feels like walking into an architectural ruining (in a good way) but with arty decorations and installations. The rooms are spacious and luxurious and comfy all at once. Bernard had breakfast with us, let us borrow is bottle opener, gave us directions, in fact we felt more like his guest that a paying visitor. If you want a standard service in a personality-less hotel then this isn't the one for you- however, if a well restored, well decorated, beautiful and quintessentially French hotel is something you may like- then this is the choice for you.

What a Croc!!!

The only positive thing about this B&B is the location, right in the centre of the old town, but only if you are able to walk as there is no vehicle access you have to leave the car in the car park and then trundle in with your luggage. Arriving at the door down a dead end street you are faced with a boarded up door way, decidedly seedy looking..we wondered what horrors lurked within! After pressing intercom the owner came to open the door?.. which revealed a form of patio but looked like a building site, the old house was still undergoing refurbishment. we proceeded up some temporary wooden stairs where we were shown another patio, also unfinished and then on up to the room which was finished, badly. Although obviously new the bathroom was already showing signs of wear and tear the shower head kept falling down and the towel rail was loose. The room itself was not too bad if a bit strangely furnished , good bed. However, We were there three nights and not once did they make our bed tidy the room, clean the bathroom or change our towels. Unbelievable. There was hardly any communication with the owner, we only saw him in the morning when he came to bring our breakfast which we had in our room, given no choice, not too bad. Beware the noise at night, the rooms are just over a discoteque next door which got going about midnight and lasted till 5am.None of your smooth tunes either as the floor vibrated to the beat and we were 2 floor up, so little sleep was had. Definitely not to be recommended
