More about the hotel
Congratulations to Cuil an Daraich
My wife and I sadly only booked here for one night on our way to Inverness and the Highlands - we wish we had booked for longer. Rachael and Gordon gave us a very warm & hospitable welcome, notwithstanding the Covid restrictions. Breakfast was excellent, as was our room - we could not have asked for better. We will go back for sure.
Takes some beating!
My wife and I stayed here for the night on our way to the highlands, and it was an excellent choice of accommodation. Nice and friendly welcome, immaculate giant room with a lovely view over the hills and river, All Covid measures in place , which was reassuring. We had a brilliant breakfast which was one of the tastier I have had in a while. Free WIFI and good parking. Near to all local attractions, It certainly takes some beating. I couldn't recommend it highly enough.
Great short break
We visited this lovely guest house for a short family break after our trip abroad had to be cancelled. We used the Guest House as our base while we explored the area and took in some local attractions. On arrival check in was fast, friendly and contactless, just what we were hoping for. The room was huge and immaculately clean, with lovely facilities and comfortable beds. Tea and coffee facilities were provided as well as a hairdryer and bath /shower toiletries which was a nice touch. Breakfast was included and was very impressive. Considering the current situation, some of the bedrooms have been put out of service to accommodate better spacing. This meant that when we arrived at breakfast we had our own table which was allocated to us for the duration of our stay, as well as our own mini buffet table beside it with a small selection of fruit, cereal, tea and coffee, fruit juice, milk and our own toaster and individually wrapped bread packs. A hot food order was taken by the lovely owner, who also chatted with us and gave us recommendations for local attractions and restaurants to try out. The food was great and service even better. If you're looking for a safe, family friendly place to stay this is it. We'll be back very soon!
Looking forward to returning!
Where many other places have struggled, Cuil-an-Daraich have succeeded in combining meticulous hygiene precautions with a warm and friendly welcome - we felt in very safe hands during our stay. Room, facilities, breakfast, location all excellent. Fantastic value for money.
Family stay in the tartan room
We stayed in the tartan room just after lockdown ended. I loved that the room had proper beds for everyone - hate family rooms that are a double and a couch - it had a lovely view, and was really quiet at night. Room was very clean. There were wine glasses and a corkscrew - wish I'd known before we'd left home! Rachel and Gordon had really thought out the distancing breakfast situation, and it was really well done.
