Disappointing
I’ve done 3 over night stays and I don’t wish to stay again each time the rooms have been average and with it being away from anywhere close by you have to either get an Uber or a taxi and if you go downstairs to their restaurant/ bar it’s overpriced and poor to say it nicely with some of the staff very rude. Stay clear pick else where
Fail
I booked and paid in full through Qantas, I arrived late at 1040 pm on a Sunday night, tired after a delayed flight only to be told “sorry there are no rooms available, we have organised you another hotel”. I then had to get a cab to a hotel I had recently passed en route to the Aloft. I cannot understand how when there was a problem with my booking no one made an attempt to contact me. My team and I will not be staying with this chain again.
Staycation
Disappointed that the skyworks was cancelled, I cancelled my Ritz-Carlton stay and used the points to stay at Aloft. I really thought it was going to be lame convincing my kids (8&9) to stay here for 4 days - but we had nothing else to do these holidays. It turned out to be fantastic fun! The reception staff are beyond professional, friendly and attentive. The maintenance crew excellent! The facilities are top notch. My kids were never bored with all the things to do - allowing me to have a cheeky cocktail at the pool in peace. A short trip into the city to all the museums and within walking distance to iFly (a hit with the kids). I would highly recommend this hotel. Ps Also, a special shout-out to the front desk crew who kept the supply of Turkish delight coming -You know who you are :). Amazing effort - thank you!!
Large Rooms
Went to Aloft to stay for the cricket, reasonably priced and the rooms were incredibly large! The Shower water did leak outside of the door which was abit annoying, but nothing that we couldn't deal with. The location makes catching ubers easy and getting home easy. Great Value for money and we would stay again!
Exceeds expectations
Booked a 2D1N staycation after reading so many positive reviews. Must say that the stay has exceeded our expectations for a 4 star hotel. Staff - Professional, polite and warm - special shootout to Tara & Sam for being such great ambassadors Room Our suite on the 17th floor is great. Separate living room from the main bedroom gave us plenty of space. The 6 bottles of water was a nice touch together with the Nespresso coffee provided. Wifi - Results of speedtest done at 1842 was 78.8 down and 79.2 up - could not be happier with speed. Pressure of the rain shower was adequate with the handheld much stronger. Terry robes was a welcome gesture, 4 towels, more than enough for an overnight stay. AC was a welcome relief especially on a hot 33 C night at 8pm. Gym is opened 24/7 while a cozy lap pool is opened between 6am to 10pm. We are still talking fondly about breaky - the ala carte style chilli eggs was yummo. So please are we that we have already made another booking, this time for a slightly longer stay. The Aloft has exceeded our expectation for a 4 star hotel.
