great place to stay
My self and she who must be obeyed(sometimes )went to Rockingham for dinner and decided to stay the night at hotel clipper, also where we had dinner, the room was very nice,clean,and for the price we could not fault it.The car park needs a bit of work,tree roots can be buggers cant they, over all we were very happy, the food was great, and the staff very happy, singing along to music being played,you could tell they enjoy working at this establishment .we would not hesitate to return again
Old and unimpressive
We stayed here 1 night arriving late in the afternoon. We were advised the restaurant was closing at 5.30, about 20 minutes time, lucky there was a fast food place next door. Breakfast was fair and the staff then friendly and helpful. The room it self was not inspiring but at least away from the highway so quieter. Appearred renovations were being carried out but was not impressed with what looked like a cable of some sort running across the driveway, hopefully not a power cable. The deposit was astronomical considering what deposits we have paid at other more high end hotels. $300 was a bit to much also considering we had already paid for the room.
Hotel Clipper. Average but above average!
The hotel is the average hotel. The clipper cafe/ restaurant, well, the food did not disappoint,and the staff were friendly and made you feel welcome. The chefs take a personal interest in the food they prepare. Not a mass produced meal! Overall an above average stay!
Awesome food, service and switched on staff - great location
This venue has had a fabulous makeover and is awesome. Homemade food, really switched on and professional, friendly staff and good prices. Plenty of parking at the door and a choice of indoor or outdoor dining, 10/10.
Good central accommodation
We were upgraded to a king room which had plenty of space and was a good standard for three star accommodation. Everything was clean and comfortable. We could walk to many restaurants and the beach. Enjoyed a meal in the cafe.
