Peace & quiet away from the crowds
Reviewed 9 February, 2020
I stayed here for two nights and very much enjoyed the long tail boat trip from the harbour to the chalet. The tide was out, so the lovely gentlemen carried our bags and we walked through the water...which was a great part of the experience and we really enjoyed it. It felt like you had discovered a secret hideaway. The welcome was friendly and efficient. The manager takes her time to give you all the information you need. I think when others have criticized her it is because they haven't paid attention or read the guest folder in their chalets. So please be respectful and do this. We wanted to just relax by the pool and go on to the beach. A little road will take you along to more bars and restaurants. I have to say, the food was not up to scratch for us and some things were greasy and bland. I would advise you take the 5/10minute walk and visit a nearby restaurant. The bar has a happy hour and the people who work here are just lovely and happy. The room was spacious and included complimentary soft drinks and water. The beer in the fridge is actually very reasonably priced. The chalets have good air conditioning too. It is a place in need of a little TLC in places. But the pool area is lovely and we'll maintained. Be aware that the beach is dependent on the tide. Time it wrong and there is either no beach or it is very shallow for quite a distance. Other than that, a great escape from the crowds.
Great Staff, Quiet Rooms, Beautiful Views!

This was a very peaceful yet beautiful place to stay on Phi Phi. We were lucky to have the far bungalow to have even more privacy, though it was generally quiet throughout their complex. The bungalow/room was beautifully done, and well-made with great ocean view. Free water and sodas replenished every day were a plus.
It has an extensive drink/cocktail menu and boasts the "Best Cocktail in Town" probably for their gorgeous garnish display of fruits & flowers. You have to get a cocktails just to see the intricate butterfly made out of fruit. The dinner food is also delicious -- including probably the best Pad Thai we had in all of Thailand. Breakfast is basic, and leaves a bit to be desired.
Beautiful infinity pool and very accommodating and helpful staff. They don't have massage up and running yet, but it looks like they might soon.
The Phu Chalet is a short walk (10 minutes) to the village/town with plenty of restaurants, massage places, stores -- and you can make it into the main busy Phi Phi town through a longer hike with viewpoints (which we did, recommended!) over the hills/mountains, or you could probably get a motorbike or boat taxi into town, too.
This place is great for couples or families who want to relax more on Phi Phi, and get away from the party-centric or busy Phi Phi town, while still being able to take advantage of Phi Phi's beauty and snorkeling. Would definitely stay here again!
This is the place to stay

I stayed there for only 2 and I regret I didn't have more. Very nice hotel, clean rooms with amazing view and very friendly personnel. Simple breakfast but good enough and great dinner with very reasonable prices. I would suggest this hotel to everyone who wish to have a peaceful stay.
Tip Book the tour from the hotel, you will love it
Nice hotel, but the host (receptionist) was awful

Arrival: really good. Transportation went very smooth. At arrival we got a cocktail and everything was explained. (English isn't that good, but they try!)
Location: if you want peace and quiet, this is your hotel. You can get to the town in 2 ways. The first one is a 2 hour hike to the forest (it's a real workout!) and the second one is with a longtail boat. The hotel charges 250 THB per person for a single trip. And only departs 2 times a day. 8 am and at noon. Don't make the mistake that we did. We took the hiking road to town and forgot about the time. The path you need to take closes at 6 pm, so after that your only way back is by boat. The prices of the boats go up after 6 pm and you'll easily pay 1800 THB per boat.
Rooms:are decent and spacious.
Connectivity: Wi-Fi sucks! It's really bad throughout the hotel. Only in the reception you get a decent signal. In your room it's almost impossible to get any signal. Also 4G is almost nonexistent.
Staff: all the waiters and maintenance staff is absolutely very friendly. They really are. Only the receptionist at the desk (she's also the one that greets you when you first arrive and seems to be the manager) is unfit to work in any hotel. At first she was friendly, but when you ask her something (we asked her if she had details written down of our bill) she said this was impossible and we should've asked for this in the beginning of our stay. We persisted and she snapped! She raised her voice and made it very clear that she was not amused by this. There were other incidents throughout our stay, but this was the most annoying one.

Very cute e comfortable. Barman is very friendly and the coktail are the best in the island.
The bar is new (2 year ago) next to the beach of holiday Inn resort (only 15-20 min by walk)
Thank you and see you next time
