A cheap hotel in a bad neighborhood

If you consider a hotel to be just somewhere you lay your head, this hotel is OK. It's close to downtown with easy freeway access, and very reasonably priced. The cons are that it's right next to a noisy freeway, in a less-than-desirable area. When we drove to downtown at night, we wandered into the middle of a huge tent city of homeless people. I do sympathize with those people, but it was nevertheless scary to be surrounded by tents on a pitch-black street. There was no breakfast, just coffee that tasted like water and was undrinkable, and juice. We couldn't wait to leave.

“The staff was awesome, very helpful and super friendly. The room was clean. It is very affordable too..... Right in the downtown PHX area and near to I-10. “Very modern, spacious, CLEAN . This is a fantastic property.

I had a 2 night stay booked here and was told to get out less than 15 min after I checked in and found the Microwave oven was not in the room like it was suppose to be and what I paid for. If it was out for repair should have been told . I thought did the right thing by letting the guy/manger who checked me in at the front desk know it was missing ! So I would not get charged for it and did ask for a replacement. He asked me several times if I looked in the right spot. I said it is suppose to be on the shelf under the TV and Ref. I am a Platinum Choice member . He wanted to go look himself and I said I will go with you and would have even waited in the hall way holding the door open. As I had my things in the room and at this point. I did not really trust him the way he was acting and he was very rude and very unstable. AS HE TOLD ME TO GET OUT !!! After Driving 300 plus miles and it was 116 degrees in phoenix. WILL THIS HAPPEN TO YOU OR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ? I am just a 61 year old guy . Plus he would not give his name or offer is manger Card or name . I am going to contact the corp office on this location . I do feel I should get a Apology from the owner of this hotel and this employee get reprimand or even Fired with out pay for his conduct .

I have stayed here several times. It's very affordable and close to downtown. We stay here when we are going to concerts. Its usually a $7 Uber ride to Comerica. The staff is friendly. The hotel is clean. Cleanest Comfort Inn I have ever stayed in. The breakfast is fine. You can make waffles, they have mini omelets, great coffee and more. I will definitely stay here everytime I come this way for concerts or for meeting up downtown. It's far away from the crazys and close enough for a cheap Uber ride.

We stayed here even though reviews warned against it. The facility is very dated and need of updates. The breakfast was pitiful at best and inedible at worst. It was old and even the juice was undrinkable. The staff was not even friendly when we were checking out. Most places would ask if everything was satisfactory and if we enjoyed our stay. He took my key when I said I was checking out and said “thanks”. Nothing more. And that coupled with the all night road noise makes this a place to avoid. I wish we had.
