lower middle class - clean rooms - but our was a bit smelling, AC ok. Staff is friendly and helpfull and you can use the nice pool from the peaceful resort. The view from the rooms is not great but ok.
Hidden Treasure
Room was huge and so spacious for me and my friend. A/C worked, beds were comfortable (for Thailand). Great shower, full fridge. Very quick walk to favourite Long Beach. Rosa, our host, was so sweet and helpful and took such great care of us. We ended up staying on lanta much longer than we had planned because of her (and the sunsets didn’t hurt) ! Would definitely recommend and would love to come back to stay again.
Lovely place to stay
Rooms excellent. Very clean. Lovely pool. 5 minutes walk to beach. Rosa on reception very helpful as we're the lovely ladies making breakfast. Some nice bars and restaurants nearby. Would recommend and would certainly stay again.
Close to beach clean and comfortable.
I booked 3 nights here and found it to be just fine. The beach is literally a 2 minute walk away and there’s restaurants and bars on the beach although a little more expensive than top road. For breakfast a great little place just as you head out of Resort. Great selection of breakfast items and snacks and delicious smoothies. The pool was lovely. Laundry was taken and returned in 24 hr for 60 bht The room was spacious clean and the bed very comfortable. Water provided daily and room was clean. The only down side is this: on the top road there’s nothing in the way of a bar or a restaurant which means walking along the busy road and there’s no path. It’s quite tricky. Solution is a tuk tuk to take you either way and in minutes you have a great selection. 100 baht I’m just used to having a shop or bar or restaurant close by for bits and bobs. This not the case here. Overall a great stay with a wonderful attentive member of staff called Sandy. Thank you Tamarind Twin.
A very nice hotel with great staff
We stayed in Tamarind Twin Resort for 4 nights. Their reception was a bit hard to find because there are two resorts next to each other with very similar names (Tamarind Twin and Tamarind Lanta), and apparently drivers often leave people in front of the second one. But luckily the staff in both resorts are helpful and guide you to the right door. The staff in Tamarind Twin was exceptionally nice and caring. Pros: - clean and spacious room with a pretty good bed - laundry service worked well - clean towels, free water daily - nice little restaurant nearby with tasty food (loved the cold smoothies) - close to the beach (with many restaurants) and the main road to catch a tuk tuk Cons: - air con was pretty loud even with the "silent" mode, probably could use some maintainance/fixing... - the fridge heated the room constantly like a stove, which forced us to keep air con running full speed - the walls were very thin, which made it very easy for the heat and noises from motorbikes and downstair "neighbours" pass through them. - the stairs to our room were very steep, which didn't bother us that much but could be an issue for some. Definitely recommend this place!:)
