More about the hotel
Stay!
We've visited the Island many times, admiring the Hotel and declaring that we were going to stay one day. We finally stayed and enjoyed it as expected. The staff was vey friendly and helpful. Planning to be back sooner than later
New Year’s Eve Booking
We spent 4 nights in this lovely hotel. Can’t stress enough how friendly the staff was. From the valet, bellman service, front desk, housekeeping, security, etc. I was very pleased that our room was right across from a service washer & dryer being that we’ve been traveling from Florida and stayed in Nashville than spent our last nights in Pigeon Forge, so being able to wash a few things before our trip back home was great! The hotel was clean, conveniently located in the The Island. Plenty to do and many places to eat. Not far from Gatlinburg, I will warn you lots of traffic. But if you’re traveling with family, kids, or just adults, you can’t go wrong with this hotel.
Amazing stay
The guest service here was just unreal in the best of ways. So nice and easy to deal with. Room was amazing and bar was great. Wouldn't change a thing. This was the third time we have stayed, and it will always be the first choice when we come back to the area.
Heartbreaking
I brought my terminally ill husband, who is a right leg amputee, down to go see the Christmas lights at Dollywood. It was on his "bucket list". We have stayed at Margaritaville Hotel before and liked it. So I booked a room for January 3rd. It was the last night of the Christmas lights at Dollywood. We got at the hotel at 1:00. And was told our room was not ready. Which I knew they usually won't check you in until 4:00. The valet said they could take our luggage and hold it, and we could go eat at Margaritaville restaurant, and they would call and let us know when our room was ready. So we did. After we ate it was about 3:30, and no one had called us. But we needed to get ready to go on over to Dollywood. So we went to the desk and asked about the room and they said it was. I gave the staff member my claim check for our luggage to have the luggage cart to our room. We went on up. By 4:00 no one had brought our luggage. And being that it was cold, and we would be outside at Dollywood, my husband needed to be dressed warmly. We only had t-shirts on. We called the front desk to ask about our luggage. They said they'd have it right up. By 4:30 we called again and again they said they would have it right up. We wanted to enjoy as much of Dollywood lights as we could since we paid 200.00 for tickets and scooter rental. Dollywood closes at 9:00. By 5:00 no luggage had come. Needless to say I was livid. I go down to the desk and asked to speak to the manager about my lost luggage. They went into his office, came back out and said he was on the phone. I said I'll wait. Ten minutes pass they said he's still on the phone and wanted my number so he could call me back. I didn't have that kind of time, so I said I'll wait. In about 10 more minutes he finally came out, and I explained the situation to him. He seemed very unconcerned. They found my luggage cart in a closet. I just grabbed it and took it to the room myself. We finally got to Dollywood at 6:30 because we couldn't get our luggage and clothes to go earlier. The only compensation I got from Margaritaville Island Hotel was the 14.00 for the valet service. I was heartbroken.
Best escape yet
During this time of stress we all need an escape. Margaritaville at the Island in Pigeon Forge provided that for us. The staff was the most friendly I have encountered. It is in walking distance to almost anything you need. The staff was very helpful with whatever you need. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a getaway. The rooftop pool and top tub are heated and open. I didn't think it would be open so I didn't pack my bathing suit but I wish I had. A few people at the hotel did. I can't wait to go back.
