Not a Restful Stay at All
I selected this hotel on my first business trip since Covid and did so because of the Hilton Clean Stay initiative. Simply put it is advertised when the previous guest checks out the room is deep cleaned and disinfected with Lysol branded products and "sealed" with blue tape on the door that is opened by you to signify the extra cleaning efforts. On the Hilton reservation site it does not state it is only at certain hotels it infers that it is used by ALL hotels. So I arrive. The Hotel is under MAJOR remodel. Seems to be no extra cleaning procedures in place whatsoever. I never witnessed anyone cleaning anything as advertised. I should have requested a refund then and there but did not as I needed prep time for my meeting. I had issues with my door and the safety latch/chain was missing so that was bothersome as well. In this time of Covid/Cornovirus. I saw no extra procedures in place whatsoever and will not return to this hotel under any circumstance
Pass up this location
This hotel was pretty dirty. As dead as it was, why was it so dirty? We are in the middle of a pandemic. You’d think this place would be sparkling clean. The hallways desperately needed vacuuming, the elevator was filthy and worse was the room. The bathroom mirror was all smeared and there was toothpaste splattered all over it, food crumbs and clothing tags on floor. The young girl at front desk could barely speak proper English and her attitude was just as bad, she apparently doesn’t understand her position and the term customer service, she acted like I was blaming her. If you want to stay in the ghetto behind a dollar store, this place may be for you.
My Hampton Stay in Pine Bluff
Stayed for family funeral. Traveled from Michigan. It was a long drive. The staff was very nice and very understanding and accommodated my handicap mom well. They were great. Breakfast wasn't all that great but still decent.
No true title
Was in town for a funeral. We have stayed at this location basically every time we come to Arkansas. I think next time I will request a suite on the first or second floor. My only real complaint was having to run the water so long for it to heat up and the breakfast selections. The eggs were full of water and bacon half cooked.
Not a good way to start the New Year Hampton inn
I’m going to start with my chief reason for sending this review and giving a poor rating as I feel it’s significant. While going down to breakfast I decided to wash my toddler’s hands before he ate breakfast.... When I enter the ladies room to use the restroom and wash my 18 mo old babies hands, there is no soap in one of the dispensers. I try the 2nd one. Empty as well. This is by the way directly across from the dining area that has buffet style utensils where everybody handles to get their food. I’m imagining all the people that either dine in there or work there that have been to the bathroom and have touched those things knowing it takes a while for two full dispensers to run out completely of soap. Please pull up your cameras to experience the rest of what I’m getting ready to tell you. Lady behind the desk long blonde hair.... red bow in her hair and I mention to her....verbatim (“ excuse me but there is no soap in both dispensers in the ladies room.”) she shook her head as if in disbelief and I assumed she was going immediately to change them. 25 minutes later after breakfast and I get up to go into the bathroom and I see the lady standing behind the desk doing nothing.... i walk into the ladies room and there is not soap in the dispensers once again. By this time I’m frustrated after running to the men’s bathroom having to keep the door open with my son etc. and seeing her not being concerned in the least bit about this being a priority. I walked back up to the front desk and I said...” has been nearly 30 minutes and there is still no soap in the ladies room. This is across from the dining area where people handle food. It’s very unsanitary. “Not to mention we’re in the flu season. She said absolutely nothing. Stood up walked into the bathroom and as I’m following her in that direction, she says with her back to me walking ahead of me.... “Did you just change a diaper in the dining area?” I told her “no I did not.” What she didn’t realize is I carried a wet soiled diaper to the bathroom as to not discard it in the dining area ....used my hand sanitizer in a pinch and I also explained to her that I used my right hand to carry it while using my left to open the bathroom door to go wash my hands in the men’s room because I had just discovered the women’s room soap dispenser empty still. At this point I told her I didn’t even want to discuss anything with her she obviously didn’t feel it was a priority and was going to debate with me and point out that I had a diaper in my hand. We will never stay at this Hampton inn again. I still am wondering all the females that work there in the kitchen area.... how did they wash their hands if they needed to use the restroom this morning? Ewhhhhhh just gross. Either you get this, or you don’t and if you don’t then your personal hygiene standards are prob not that high. I mean we all can be aware of this stuff and no ones perfect but my goodness this is a bathroom and a dining room. These two should never connect without soap in my opinion. We loved the Hampton Inn in Columbiana Ohio. Love the Hampton Inn in Effingham Illinois. and several others and will go back to them.
