Charles Brown - Chef of the Cambria

Charles was outstanding. He was short staffed, so he was the waiter and the chef. To experience someone who has all of those hats and Charles was happy and polite while doing his job . Charles made a magnificent meal for us and we appreciate him and hope to be back again. The M & M’s
Wedding on 11/5/21

My husband and I chose to use Cambria's ballroom for our wedding reception. This was the best choice we could have made! The outside area was gorgeous, including fire pits and string lights with a beautiful view of Consol and the city skyline. We had the whole downstairs for our guests, including a foyer area, a sitting area, a full bar, and two bathrooms. Everything was clean and wonderful! The best part about our stay here, though, was the staff. Oscar, Mario, and Patti made us feel like celebs! They let us stay in the bridal suite for two nights (it has multiple bedrooms, living rooms, and bathrooms). They went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of while setting up (Oscar even ordered us a pizza!), and they also made sure we sat down for breakfast in the morning. They even let us pick whatever we wanted to eat - even if it wasn't on the menu! These guys truly went above and beyond for us to make sure our wedding was perfect...and all of the staff aside from them was incredibly friendly. We highly recommend it!!
Above and Beyond Experience

I would like to thank the staff and management of the Cambria Hotel Pittsburgh. Recently my wife stayed at your hotel for ten days. The reason for her extended stay was so she could be near her mother who was undergoing a major surgery at Mercy Hospital. Needless to say, my wife was under a lot of stress and had a lot of anxiety as to her mother's condition and how her mother's surgery and recovery would go. I spoke with my wife daily, and she would comment on how pleasant, professional and courteous the staff and management at the hotel were. My wife mentioned a few people by name who deserve to be thanked. These include Ali, John, Jim, Alexi and especially Mario. Thank you all for making my wife's stay so pleasant under some very difficult circumstances.
Disappointed from a stay 3 year prior

No maid service, dirty carpet and drapes. The unit needs updated and I am sure they will once things settle regarding Covid. Ally at the from desk was very helpful when we checked out and told her the above when she asked. She comped our parking in apology. And John the shuttle bus driver was amazing. Very friendly, pleasant, courteous and polite and just a nice guy.
Stay away from this property, worst stay I have experienced in a long tme

As an experienced traveler, I can honestly say this was the worst stay I remember in a long time. The rooms were old, smelled like mold (my AC was leaking onto carpet). They do not make up the rooms daily which is fine, but they also do not provide fresh towels unless you ask daily. The service at breakfast was horrendous (they only had one server for the entire place) and she really tried hard but was overwhelmed. The bar did not open until 5:00PM and did not open at all on Sunday. With a wedding group staying at the hotel and a Steeler home game, you would think they would have planned better. On Monday morning when we checked out, the restaurant was closed, could not even get coffee. The rooms are very outdated, the pool area is dirty and the hot tub was empty and is really a safety hazard since it is not covered. This is the worst hotel I have stayed at in many years.
