We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn, Oakland, PA, this last weekend for a wedding nearby. We were welcomed by a 15 minute wait for our turn to access valet only parking. We had our vehicle and two others full fo wedding accoutrements to be unloaded. We had to wait for carts. We did get to check in early which really helped. The hotel staff, all staff members with who we interacted were wonderful. The rooms are small. Carpets throughout the halls and rooms are older, outdated, less than attractive. The doors on the closet in our room did not work properly and made navigating it with wedding clothing harder than it needed to be. The bed was quite comfortable. Bathroom had everything we needed. Coffee in lobby had run dry on Sunday at 11 when we needed it most. The valets with whom we were interacting were doing their best. However, the valet parking caused long, long waits coming and going for many guests. Would I stay again? I think I would try other hotels in the area first, like the Wyndham, Hampton.

We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn for several nights. The staff were all outstanding. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. The hotel was very clean. We highly recommend this hotel.

Another wonderful Pitt reunion weekend. We always stay here when in town and it never disappoints. Convenient to everything in Oakland, and an easy Uber ride downtown or to the stadium. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the weekend breakfast buffet w as a plus.

Room block for our wedding not honored resulting in much higher per night charges, and large holds put on guests credit cards in error. During check in a few of our guests were also treated rudely by staff. Out of town guests were not happy with treatment or cost and mentioned it as a detractor from the weekend.

This was a nice hotel. The staff was friendly and the room was comfortable and clean. However, I was told there is no option to self park, and the valet is $25. I have never been to a hotel that costs this much, especially considering the garage is attached to the hotel. I have stayed at other Hilton’s with cheaper valet and the garage is 2-3 blocks away. There is also a steep exit ramp, so my car and others were scraping along the pavement when we pulled out.
