More about the hotel
Great location and clean
Very pleasant check-in, friendly and helpful. Seems they take COVID19 seriously. Room was very clean and spacious. There were no drawers for clothes though. There is a very high $250 incidental fee. Parking is $24 a day right next to hotel under bridge (not in a garage). Our room was facing interstate and it was very noisy ALL night. To-go bag breakfast is water, 2 granola bars, muffin, green apple, and coffee. Can also get a cinnamon roll. No hot water for tea or juice or milk. Near stadiums and bridges. We walked everywhere. I would stay here again, just on other side of hotel away from interstate.
Excellent location beside the stadiums and city bridges! Best hotel on the North Shore!
I stayed here during the recent Covid 19 madness on June 30'th for 2 nights. Front desk check in was fast and friendly! I stayed in room 705 it's one of the suites with a city view facing the Roberto Clemente Bridge with a fabulous view of the Pittsburgh skyline! Best view in all of Pittsburgh along with the Duquesne Incline which a must see attraction in the Burgh! The bed was super comfy! The Wifi was fast and just fantastic! The TV had lots of channels! The AC was nice and quiet and worked great! I requested a extra hour late checkout for 12:PM instead of 11 and the front desk manager I believe her name is Jessica was more than happy to help me! PNC Park is just one block south across the street! There is a great pub called North Shore Tavern! Great beer and steak! I took a LYFT to get to the hotel from PGH Airport and it was only $34 dollars which is not bad! I will definitely stay here in the future when things are hopefully back to normal! Fantastic location and Pittsburgh is a fantastic city! Be sure to go to Primanti Brothers at Market Square! They offer 6 packs or beer to go which is a plus since it's hard to find beer for sale in PA! Thanks again and keep up the good work!
Great location
This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel. Its very clean with a friendly staff. The rooms are spacious and have everything we need. Parking is available adjacent to the building by the overpass for $24 a night. It is also walking distance to the Heinz field. This trip we stayed in a room next to the freeway and I barley slept. I will come back again but will request a different view.
If Spire members get this treatment, Club members should run!
I am loyal to IHG and a Spire member. I to Pittsburgh weekly for work and have been a faithful, frequent customer at this hotel. My most recent check in on 3/17 was awful. I was advised that check in that I was the only customer that was checking in for the evening. The woman behind the desk let me know that housekeeping standards were not what I would be used to, as there would not be a housekeeper on each floor during this day. When I got into the hotel room and showered from the plane trip, there was no soap in the dispenser inside the shower. I was provided with one small bar of soap and that was enough to shower for the evening. The next day, after coming back in from work, the hotel room had not been cleaned, there were no fresh towels and also no new toiletries. There seemed to be no one at the hotel that could provide any of these items for me. When I checked out on the 19th, I asked to be reimbursed for the last night due to no service. The man behind the desk was quite apologetic and said he would have the manager contact me. To this day, I have not heard from the manager. I understand in our new economic times, it is potentially not possible to refund me for a night’s stay. Understood. But it’s absolutely unreasonable that the manager could not call me to at least apologize for the stay that I had. I was told, when I called two days later, that I would be awarded 5000 points. Also to this day, I have not received those 5000 points. I would love the remedy of receiving at least 25,000 points so that I can be compensated in that way for my one night of a miserable stay. I was typically an every week customer there. They will not have to worry about dealing with me again. I will not be back.
Take ear plugs
I'm here currently and on the 6th floor and I might as well be on the 1st floor. Traffic is so loud. Just downloaded a sound app to hopefully try and get a good night's sleep!! I understand it's a large city, but the windows could be a little thicker.
