Very pleasant
I stayed two nights and enjoyed the room and the general friendly atmosphere. The dinners were very good but if you want a more quiet surrounding, then go to the special dining room. The service was very kind and efficient.
Comfortable Accomodation at a Bargain Price
I recently spent a week at Hotel Labriego while on a birding trip to Spain. My room was comfortable and had a nice small balcony overlooking the countryside behind the hotel. I also especially appreciated having a small fridge and a heated towel rack. Wifi coverage was also excellent. The only thing I missed was having a comfortable chair and table or desk in the room, but I imagine these may be included in the higher priced rooms. The family was very welcoming, and one of the sons spent an evening showing me around birding sites nearby as well as a visit to the family farm and hostal just outside of town.
Perfect overnight stay
Arrived at El Labriego after an 8hr drive and temp at 43c It was delightful to open the large doors into the dark, cool reception area and be greeted with such warmth the lively lady on the desk. We don't speak Spanish, she had no English but we were helped with parking, checked in and shown round the hotel with superb efficiency. The hotel is full of fascinating farming memorabilia, yet has fast broadband, a pool, bar with delicious draft beer, chilled & refreshing, dining room and tranquil sitting room. Rested & refreshed we had a delightful meal (lovely local pork) and superb local wine all served by the son of the house who explained the food & wine and introduced us to his own Vinho de Casa, an interesting white. Sadly an early morning start meant we couldn't experience the real Spanish evening when everyone comes out after the sun goes down to meet, drink & eat. A great nights sleep in a huge bed. A simple breakfast of fresh orange, coffee & toast sent us on our way. A perfect break in rural Spain.
Excellent hotel
This hotel was chosen for its location for a wildlife watching holiday, and far exceeded expectations. Situated in a rural location very close to plains and dehesas, Extramadura's superb wildlife was on the doorstep. Although the staff spoke very little English, the welcome was warm and they went to incredible effort to make sure that we had everything that we needed. The rooms were clean and maintained to a high standard. Food was available at the hotel. This was excellent and locally sourced from the family farm. The bar/restaurant had a friendly atmosphere and was clearly a hub for the local community.

Landhotel in einem Dorf. 25 km/19 min. von Trujillo/Extremadura entfernt. Parkplätze vorhanden. Dunkle, hellhörige kleine Zimmer mit schwachem Licht. Der Tisch und die Stühle auf der Terrasse waren verrostet. Ohne Spanisch ist die Kommunikation eher schwierig. Defekter Wasserhahn im Bad. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt nicht. Ideal, um das spanische Dorfleben kennen zu lernen.
