No wifi on the beach. The breakfast and lunch only in the same buffet, the others you can get only snacks. The snack bar on the beach opens very late. The water park is incredible, really amazing. The restaurants are excellent.
Perfect for a family with kids (under 10 years old)

We visited the Paradisus Playa Del Carmen over Christmas 2021. The short story is this is the perfect place for a family with younger children. We (my wife and I, as well as our two daughters, 5 and 6 years old) had a great time and would highly recommend it. However there are a few “buts”. I'll start with the good bits. Firstly the service at the resort is great. We were in a Junior Suite (2 double beds), which had a lot of space. We were assigned a concierge for our trip (Salvador), who was absolutely brilliant. He booked all our meal reservations, shared activities at the resort and generally helped us out. Service around the pool is excellent (special shout out to Sarain. He has THE best laugh! Haha). Pools are excellent. The water park is brilliant. Kids club was very good and the staff were brilliant (although our two didn't get on with wearing masks all the time, indoors and out). Evening theatres show were generally very good (Lion King was the best). Food/drinks during the day were pretty good. Evening meals got a little monotonous after a while. The teppanyaki restaurant was great though! At the beach you can pick up Kayaks or get a Catamaran (guided, for a tip!) which is great to explore the shore. Now the "buts"....despite the resort, the rooms and pools being kept very clean, for some reason the hallways weren't. People's room service leftovers, drinks/glasses, or even rubbish would often be left outside and not picked up for days. Minor grumble, I realise. The safe in our room had a mind of its own. Every 24-48hrs it would reset itself and we'd have to call the "safe dude" out to open it up. By the latter half of the trip we gave up and resorted to locking our belongings in a bag. The double beds were small, so two adults would struggle to fit comfortably at night. Final grumble was the choice of flooring (bear with me!). They have a lovely polished stone floor tile that is used throughout the resort. However when wet its lethal. Since this is used in the bathroom, the toilets at the water parks, and in the hallways near the pool, it turns from a minor annoyance into a legitimate issue. Our children fell over a few times and we had a few near misses. Regardless, we had a great time and would definitely recommend you to visit as its great value, has great facilities and great service from all the staff.
Very good resort

We had a great experience. The good quality was very good. Kids daycare staff were very professional and experienced. However some Improvement is needed with providing guests a tour of the place along with a detail of all the activities and services for the upcoming week. Restaurant reservations should be allowed online. A schedule of restaurants timing and menus should be accessible online.
A little slice of all inclusive paradise

We had a great time at Paradisus when we visited in November. Alex was our concierge and he took great care of us, as did Angel the bartender. The property could do with some touch ups - for the most part it's a beautiful property, but it's showing some signs of age. Paradisus takes care of all the details down to COVID tests to get back home. Tours are incredibly easy to book, if you don't have a car they take care of airport pickup/dropoff. Restaurants were mostly great, we would have just appreciated more care taken with allergies. My husband was served a meal with peppers, despite the fact that they ask at every meal if there are any allergies (and it's written down on their information sheet). And when we tried to see what options he had with his allergies, there didn't seem to be much room for a meal to be altered. We appreciated the separation of families with children and adults only as we were looking for a romantic weekend sans yelling babies. Overall, we had a relaxing and enjoyable week at Paradisus.

Great experience for the value. Love the all inclusive package. Server Roberto at Fuego was awesome. Maya our server at the poolside cabanas was AMAZING! She made our entire trip feel special and it felt like she really connected with us on a different level!
