Very nice staff they make you feel so at home.
They are so amazing an funny people. Do everything they can to make it a great vacation. so nice to be right on the ocean and beautiful beaches to walk on. Absaion the life guard was extra helpful when our daughter got a rash. The waiter and waitress are so very nice.
2021 Vacation
Resort was average. Check-in was okay but they make go through the concierge to try to get you into a time share presentation. The whole week of our stay there was a very bad sewage smell. Pool open until 9pm but towels available until 5pm only. Two nights my wife could not order lobster because it was frozen and it was one hour before closing. Location was good.

We stayed at Fisherman Resort outside Cancun over Christmas. The staff was so helpful and friendly. Especially want to recognize Bara, Carlos, Randy, and Genova in the restaurant (especially loved the never ending g Caesar salad!) Carlos was great as concierge also and looked after all our needs. Thank you!! Hope to return soon!!!
Beautiful Location, Great Value, and the Most Amazing Service
I have been going to Sunset Fishermen for more than 15 years. The location is amazing. I don't know of a place with a more amazing view for the price. This year my wife and I brought another couple with us. We travel all over the world and the service this trip was the best I have experienced in all of my travels. My guests have certain diet restrictions and the staff took extra steps to ensure their needs were met. The property is a little older, but that is part of its character. The resort is only a 10 minute walk to the edge of downtown Playa del Carmen's 5th street.
Home Again.
We have been members at Fishermens from the early days when Fishermens had opened. The family atmosphere always feels like home. We found Fishermens to be a secure place for our children to have tons of fun and sun and now that they are grown adults they still continue to accompany us on our visits to Mexico and Fishermens. Our son even got engaged to his wife there on one of our visits.
