Perfect place to stay in Pompano Beach.

Reviewed 20 january, 2022

We were there from Dec 18 to Jan 8. We had a wonderful stay and this is still the best place to stay in Pompano Beach. The units are well maintained and very clean. We had no trouble to get all we needed (towels, toilet paper, etc) and to get some minor issues fixed rapidly (bathroom door not locking, minor dishwasher problem, etc). The housekeeping and engineering peoples we always very helpful. The ground is very well maintained too. The gardens and pools are very enjoyable so thumbs up to the ground staff for that. And the front desk staff was exceptional. Here are just some of the wonderful people we had the pleasure to meet: Kim Lee (The best), Nicole Untch, Sherell, Lovena, Jordan, Michael, Brandy, Maureen, Shekia and Shemar. They were all friendly, helpful and so nice. They made our stay very special. We stayed in unit 124A-B (Waterfalls), unit 455 (Ocean Palms) and 261 (Key West). Unit 124 is at the end of Waterfalls building, near the jacuzzi of the Ocean Palms pool. You can see if the jacuzzi is occupied from your balcony which is nice. Unit 455 is a "disability access" room so the layout is not standard (walk-in shower), but it has a magnificent terrasse with a wonderful sunset view. Unit 261 is on the East side of the Key West building, second floor, no elevator. Is is a very nice big unit. They replaced the comfortable chairs on the balcony with iron/aluminum straight chairs which are less comfortable but I guess they will be more durable. The beach is still clean and beautiful. You can walk to the pier which is only 15 minutes away and you will find a couple of great restaurants there. We loved the "Lucky Fish" which is not too expensive and offers very good food. The only downside we experienced is not related to the staff of the Sea Gardens but rather to the activities available at the Sea Gardens. We appreciated the entertainment at the tiki bar (Karaoke, Steel Drum, Guitar player, etc.) but the daily activities were almost non-existent with only three weekly bingos scheduled, and they did not even all happen (some were cancelled because of short staff). We understand that the Covid 19 situation was responsible for the cancellation of a lot of activities but I am not sure that the Covid is responsible for everything. I really hope they will keep the bingo (and even more frequently if possible) and 0bring back activities that we loved in the past like the Bocce Ball, Horseshoes, Blongo Ball, Frozen T-Shirt, Coconut bowling, etc... And if it is really a Covid issue, they should get some activity equipment I mentioned before (Bocce, etc) and make it available for the guests to borrow. We would have love to be able to borrow stuff to have fun on our own. Just being able to borrow a volleyball to play on the beach would have been nice. We had to go buy one because nothing was available at the resort. And finally, it is not really the same since they remove the shuffleboard and they should really do something about it. I cannot believe they can't find a place to build a single shuffleboard court on all the property. Bring it back please! So in brief we want to congratulate everyone working at the Sea Gardens and would really appreciate it if the managing team would consider to bring back the daily activities, or at least allow people to borrow the equipment to entertain themselves. It still recommend this place to everyone, it is our favorite place in Florida.

Bahama Momma is the best

Bahama Momma was our check-in representative. She is not a 10 or a 20, she is a 30 or a 40 rating. She is the best! We had the wrong unit assigned to us, which we explained to her. She immediately took action and asked us to wait a few minutes while she checked to see if she could rectify the problem. Bahama Momma contacted her Supervisor, explained the situation and got our unit reassigned and even arranged to have us with an early time to occupy the unit. Thank You Bahama Momma!!!

Great Stay at Wyndham Sea Gardens - Pompano Beach

Reviewed 22 december, 2021

My wife and I celebrated our Anniversary and her birthday the week of December 13-20. We also had our parents in for the celebrations. We had reservations that did not run consecutive, but the staff and management were able to accommodate our stay. If there were any issues, this staff handled our requests without hesitation and made our anniversary and birthday celebration memorable. We stayed in Key West (3-Story building across the parking lot) the first 2 nights, which was very nice and exceptionally quiet with its own pool. We also stayed in the Ocean Palms Towers at the back of the facility, again very nice and has amazing views. They also have Waterfall (garden area) and Ocean (buildings on the ocean) rooms that are also fabulous. The Tiki bar is awesome, and with bartenders Billie and Jeff its always great cocktails and a laugh. We have stayed at many resorts around the world, and from our experience, this staff works well together and resolves challenges. I would like to personally thank Kim Lee, Chamir, Britnie, and manager, Maureen.

What you see is not what you get

Our building/unit was across the street from the main resort and nothing like the pictures. Unit was older, musty, black mold on bath windows, torn screens on windows, bend blinds/HVAC grates, just overall old and not well maintained. We asked to move and were denied. Just overall poor experience.

Nice Place and close to the Beach and Restaurants.

Stayed here for three days. Staff very helpful, grounds were very clean as well as the rooms. Close to the beach and many restaurants. Multiple pools, a hair salon and deli on the grounds. Have a great Tiki bat in the evenings serving adult beverages. Definitely would stay here again.
