Lovely hotel and grounds
Opinión escrita el 16 de junio de 2022
We stayed at the hotel resort in June 2022 for my daughter's wedding with the reception held in the restaurant and pavilion venue next door. Very comfortable accommodation, clean and tidy and accessible for elderly guests. The grounds and pool area were very tidy and stunning views across the valley. The staff were extremely helpful in meeting the various demands of a large party which was much appreciated. The breakfast area at the front of the hotel was really lovely. The restaurant is a short walk away and serves exceptional food. We stayed in both the garden rooms and also the rooms with the veranda - both of a high standard. One of our family suites didn't have air conditioning but that was a minor issue. Really memorable stay.

very comfortable stay in lovely old town

My wife and I stopped here for a night while travelling through the area. The hotel staff were all very friendly, and the room was extremely comfortable and spacious, as well as being tastefully decorated. The bathroom was modern and spotlessly clean. The location is quiet and we had a really good night's sleep. Breakfast (included in our rate) was a large buffet with a very good range of choice. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

Bad service
Opinión escrita el 2 de enero de 2022
The front desk staff were less than sympathetic with the problems we had with their Wi-Fi service and refused to allow us to cancel our stay after less than 30 minutes on the property. (Internet access was why we planned to stay there). The hotel seems nice but the service we received was really terrible.

Away from touristy Tuscany

This is a special hotel looks out over the mountains in an area 30 minutes from the nearest town - Pontremoli. Does wonderful breakfast and dinner locally sourced eg stuffed pumpkin flowers. Wonderful for kayaking, mountain trail hikes and walks, cycling etc and the weather is perfect for it at this time of year. I did exploring the surrounding villages, castles and churches which was wow. It was organised by Tuscan Secrets of Sandhurst who took care of every detail from first night Prosecco party onwards. The entire experience was good value and felt luxurious. Staff were brilliant. My room had its own secluded garden near the swimming pool which closed on Saturday 12 October. Temperature 22 c each day. Very sunny. Gorgeous hotel in a beautiful area with fantastic food. The third photo is my rooms secluded garden.

A most wonderful and homely hotel

I have just returned home after a week at this wonderful hotel, where I stayed with a small group, which was organised by Tuscan Secrets. The rooms are large and very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Bathrooms are a good size and the showers work well. All the rooms here have a kettle, which I like s enjoy a cup of tea before breakfast. The lounge is large and very comfortable, it has a wonderful fire for cooler evenings. The grounds are spectacular, offering the most amazing views. There is also a tiny chapel just yards from the hotel. There is also a 4 hole golf course here, which is free of charge to guests. The staff are really the best I've ever come across, They are all so friendly and most efficient. Riccardo, the manager couldn't have done more to make our stay most memorable. Now the food! Incredible!!!! How they offer such a menu for the price, I do not know. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the medieval town of Pontremoli, which is in the northernmost region of Tuscany called Lunigiana. It is truly authentic Tuscany, but with a twist in that it boarders Emilia Romagna and Liguria, so the food is influenced by all three regions. It is not on the traditional tourist track, so it tends to be mainly used by Italians. However English is spoken. This is a rugged mountainous area of Tuscany great as a base for touring and for activities such s trekking, cycling, horse riding and canyoning as well as river trekking and canoeing. The railway station makes it very easy to travel further afield withing Tuscany as well as to the Cinque Terre and to Parma. I shall be returning.
