Don’t bother

Reviewed 5 march, 2021

“Extended stay” hotel that has no amenities, no utensils, pots, pans, dishes or cups, you get 2 small bath towels, no hand towels and 2 washcloths, two pillows for bed. Even if it is for a short stay such as ours, we like to stay in extended stay hotels so if we want to make a meal or eat in we have facilities. May be “a good price” , but you’re better off paying a few dollars more and getting what seems to be the standard every where else.

Decent but the staff and guests are questionable

Reviewed 13 january, 2021

I’ve been staying here for a couple of months for work and I will say that the place is pretty clean despite less housekeeping due to COVID 19 restrictions. On the other hand, prepare to be woken up at 7 or 8am due to housekeeping vacuuming!!! Who vacuums that early in the morning??!! Hotels usually wait until guests are at work in the evening. No matter how much you say something they don’t care. Just be ready to be woken up at the crack of dawn no matter how long you stay here. No heat in the rooms either and it’s the dead of winter here!

Lousy AC units

Reviewed 15 september, 2020

They manipulated units to shut off at 66 degrees. The hotel owners are CHEAP CHEAPO'S..I booked on hotels.com and wanted to leave next day. They said "NO REFUNDS".The Extended Stay America down the Street also has AC units shut off at 66 degrees.CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP Savannah area hotel owners.

Lousy Air Conditioning

Reviewed 13 october, 2019

I was so disappointed that they manipulated the AC to cool only to 70 degrees. The setting on the wall read 66 but if I wanted to see real temp it said 70.I only picked Woodsprings for newer Amana units that cool to 60.I made mistake of assuming they set AC like all the other Woodsprings.I did not wake feeling refreshed.I also booked it non refundable 7 nights through Hotels.com.Never again will I trap myself.I am leaving 2 days early. They are CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP if they cannot let guests cool room to 60 like even a cheap Motel 6 allows.

Could be worse

For starters when they say you get the bare minimum, they mean you get the bare minimum. This hotel is classified as an extended stay, but for true extended stay people it’s less then comfortable. I am a traveling nurse who just spent the last year at a Candlewood Suites and I guess I was pretty spoiled there after arriving here. The staff has been pretty nice, no complaints there. I will be checked in here for 3 months so of course I arrived with quite a lot of stuff. For the whole hotel they only have one suitcase carrier rack, which is odd because usually people who are here for quite a bit of time they’re going to have things with them. So I had to wait till that one became available. Apparently only one is in their budget. I say that because their motto is that in order to give such an “inexpensive” price they have to cut out several things so they encourage you to bring your own things..... They do not give you any supplies like pots, pans, utensils, paper towels or a toaster, or even a hairdryer ect. They do however have a few of these items to purchase at the desk (ridiculous prices), or you’ll have to purchase all these items elsewhere. You only get two flat pillows on the bed, two body towels, two face towels and a starter roll of toilet paper. Housekeeping is only once every two weeks so if you need a new towel in between be prepared to take them downstairs and exchange for new ones. There aren’t any drapes on the windows so all you have are blinds so if you are trying sleep in on your day off good luck. There isn’t even a full length body mirror in the room. Now to some reading this you might say come on lady you are in an extended stay not a diamond resort, but for the ones who travel for business and are in these extended stay hotels for several months at a time then these small things like a mirror matters. Yes you can buy all these things which I have, including extra pillows, but it only makes things more difficult for when it’s time to pack up and leave. And according to their policy anything left behind will result in a fee. Its like I moved into a one bedroom apartment which how will all these things fit in my car? What’s even crazier is the Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi sucks (i’m literally having issues with it as I type) it’s only free for one device to be connected. If you have more than one device you will have to purchase it which adds on to that “inexpensive” rate. With any issues don’t call downstairs because they have no clue about the internet and they’ll instruct you to call the customer service number. Another expense is laundry. It cost $2.50 to wash and $2.25 to dry. So add that on to your “inexpensive” rate. The walls are extremely thin I can hear everything any and everyone’s business. I’m not even exaggerating. I can hear TVs, voices, anybody who enters and leaves their room, people upstairs from you walking, microwaves going off ect. The first two nights were the roughest, I had a very angry couple next door. No I did not call to complain cause it was 3 am and I had to get up in another hour anyways for work. There are also a lot of weird noises the room makes like the air conditioner, fridge and they are loud as heck. The room does not have a closet only an open cabinet so all your items are exposed. You have to keep everything in your suitcases due to lack of storage. They only give you a few hangers so buy some more. There are two pull out drawers underneath the TV but that’s it. Bathroom has absolutely no storage only a countertop but it’s a pretty big countertop. The kitchenette area has a little bit of storage underneath the sink but the top cabinets are also open once again exposing all your stuff. But it does come with a very decent size sink. Just remember you’ll have to buy soap dishing liquid sponges etc. another thing I find quite odd for an extended stay is that they do not except any incoming mail. I don’t know about you but for me that’s an issue when I’m staying here for three months. Makes me wonder how they’re truly getting away with being called an extended stay. I guess because of the kitchenette. If you have pets that will be an issue, well at least for some it will be an issue and the reason I say that is because the no pet policy only applies to a few. Not like it matters to me cause my fur babies aren’t here but I literally had a 5 min lecture at check in on how this location does not except any pets due to the issues it caused in the past, however, I was doing laundry i noticed a smell like wet dog in the hallway and no lie I turn around and there was a lady walking her dog down the same hallway. Now how is that fair for the people who was turned away? Now for the positives, I must say it is extremely clean here. They definitely get an A+++ for that. The building is new only about a year old. Another thing I love is that the thermostat is located right next to the bed so all you have to do is roll over literally and adjust as needed instead of having to get up and walk across the room like most extended stays/hotels. Also like the fact that there’s no carpet and the chair that’s in the room is leather which you can easily wipe and sanitize and that there is no gross accent pillows that probably never truly get cleaned. The cleanliness is the only thing I can say that is making my stay comfortable. Of course I’ve looked into other living arrangements, but unfortunately they’re all booked. I’m only here for a few months so I’ll suck it up. I’m just looking at all the money that I’ve spent so far and what I will be spending and wish I would have just paid the extra at the beginning somewhere else. $5 extra a night I didn’t have any of these things to worry about where I came from. Another positive is the location. You really can’t beat that. It’s located right across from the outlet mall and anything else you could possibly need is right here as well. When I say it could be worse, it really could be. At least the place isn’t a dump, just keep in mind for the true extended stayers what you are getting yourself into. If I was a week long stayer I would have absolutely nothing to complain about besides the noise and not partying noises but the daily living noises you have to hear.
