I am not used to staying in Pub accommodation so did not know what to expect. My husband has stayed in quite a few and said it was better than most. The room was quite basic but did have all that we required. The bathroom was in need of a spruce up with a few broken tiles but overall was clean. We were warned to close the door and put the fan on when having a shower as the steam could trigger the smoke alarm. The washbasin was annoyingly in the corner of the main room. The communal kitchen was stocked with everything you need for a decent continental breakfast and available for use 24hrs. Overall a good value basic stay.

Great location, but ...

We ended up at The Pier because our air BNB booking was stuffed up. Firstly we were grateful that we found somewhere last minute. You could not ask for a better location and friendly staff. But for $130 per night it was definitely over priced. But as I said at least we had a bed. The rooms are small and claustrophobic. No window other than where the AC is installed. Cables hanging from a VERY small TV. The noise from the bar below did not worry us we had the noisy AC running and this was located right next to the bed. At bed height. The wash basin is in the bedroom with a shower change area and toilet in the ensuite. There is also one bedside table and lamp and a bar fridge. We were warned that if we didn’t have the fan going and door shut when we showered the alarm would go off and result in a $450 fine. The windows were plugged with wads of paper. Maybe to stop them rattling. We were advised to leave used towels on the floor if we wanted fresh ones. Unfortunately the room was not serviced in the 3 days we were there. So no fresh towels. Taps were not marked as hot or cold. They could use some double adaptors so 2 people could charge phones , devices. Communal kitchen was well stocked and clean. Good meal in the bar was enjoyed with a beautiful view.

Classic older pub accommodation! Staff were friendly, and everything was very clean and tidy. Breakfast room offered simple continental breakfast - help yourself and clean as you go. Very relaxed place.

Really liked it here. Had a lovely big room with a heritage feel. The dining area is also full of character and it's right on sea front. Comfy bed and good sized bathroom with added bonus of a sea view. Only issue with room was the air con which didn't seem to be working properly for start of the night but finally started kicking out some cold air around 1am. We ate in the hotel restaurant in the evening and I can recommend the blue swimmer crab and prawn pasta dish as long as you like it hot! The free breakfast was an added bonus with a choice of breads and cereals as well as tea and coffee. The kitchen was also spotlessly clean. The girl on reception gets a special mention as she was very welcoming and helpful. We left the morning the rains came down and just missed the floods, hope hotel was OK. Definitely a good choice at a fair price.

Ate here on our first night in port Lincoln. Arrived at happy hour so good value beers but we were a bit early for food so sat and relaxed whilst enjoying our "goat" beers. We both ordered the crumbed prawns which came with chips and salad. Generous sized portion and tasty food.
