More about the hotel
Simple and correct
Location outside the city center. Restaurant open from mid-day to late : very convenient. Good food, nice service of the older generation 😉. Old fashion hotel but acceptable. I stayed there 3 nights. All-over, an average good hotel.
Worst in our Latin America trip. Cockroaches, beggars, broken promises
Booked through Booking com, we were expected a decent clean room with safe deposit box and proper staff attitude. When we arrived 2 kids met us in front of the main door, asking for money. After on the reception indifferent lady gave us paper with hotel rules, checked us in and showed the room. We have asked about beggars on the entrance, she said it is ok, she doesn't know from where they are. When she left the room we have found a couple of cockroaches on the floor and haven't found safe deposit box, which was clearly mentioned on booking confirmation. Questions to reception didn't give us results - she said your room has no safe deposit box (and in South america it is crucial), she offered a lockable bag to store something on the reception, No apologies given, room was not changed due to full occupancy. Internet was working, but room itself was unpleasant from all sides, dirty and not well maintained, partly broken flush in the toilet. Location is also not good - in the middle between falls and the city, nothing around - if you want to change money, buy something or see the city - hotel will try to rip you off, of course, with extremely expensive taxi, or you need to catch the bus (1 or 2 buses per hour). Breakfast was acceptable with some variety, especially big variety of sweet pastries. Price for this kind of hotel is very high, you can get much better hotels cheaper, especially on Brazilian side
Worst atention ever
I stayed in Marco Polo for two night with 5 friends, there was problems with wifi connection, the light was gone for two hours or more each day. The waiter of the restaurant was angry and delivered a bad service. Air conditioning of my room didnt work and recepcionist didnt change my room or give me any solution, there was 28•C outside so we were angry. The service was awkfuk I would never return here.
Not suites, just regular rooms
Conveniently located right on Route 12, 3 miles outside Puerto Iguazu town, this place was satisfactory for overnight stays (we stayed two nights.) Lights went out from time to time on both evenings but came back later. Restaurant was fine for a pizza dinner. Breakfast was plentiful.
Not happy
Good located but bad service at reception, no information about location and trips. Also bad service at the restaurant, unfriendly and food was not tasty at all. Rooms are ok, bathroom smells not very good, pool area is fine
