Excellent quality and value for a property of this class. The hotel was reasonably clean, although the room had several spots on the floor. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean with plenty of hot water and pressure. TV was pretty decent with a good selection of channels, and the Internet was great. The only complaints I have are the fact the gym was closed without any notation on the website. It appears to be undergoing a massive renovation. Also, upon checking out I attempted to call the front desk at 8 AM local time and it rang multiple times with no answer. I assumed they were very busy with people checking out, and I put my belongings in the car, and then drove around the front desk only to find no one there. A young lady did emerge from an office after she apparently saw me on the video camera. It would’ve been nice to have had to check out over the telephone. This property does have a very clean and well-maintained pool area that is exceptional for this size of hotel. An operational, hot tub and child pool along with a regular size pool. There are several food choices nearby as well as a convenient store. Easy access to the interstate and a quiet location. I would likely still stay here again, but I would call ahead to see if anything is closed that they have not disclosed on their advertisement.

We arrived and we’re given the exact room we wanted even thought when booking I booked a different room accidentally. The room was spacious and clean. Honestly though The pool area with hot tub was our family favorite. Clean affordable just off the highway.

Comfortable beds and clean rooms

Came here for one night while visiting the dunes. The rooms were comfortable and the beds were comfortable. The rooms appeared clean as well. Breakfast was served by 2 ladies and was more than you get at most hotels these days. My only issue was the wifi didn't work for me and my cell service wasn't working well either so I really could have used the wifi.

I am extremely dissatisfied with my stay at the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Portage, IN. The room was not cleaned. My sheets were not changed from the previous guests. The sheets had a slice (tear) near the right corner of the bed. It looked like someone used a box cutter. When I called the front desk they told me I could change the sheets myself. They said there was not a cleaning service available. The next day I spoke with the manager and she apologized and said she would discount my room. When I received my charge for the room on Sunday, there was not a discount applied. Not only is this extremely unsanitary, it is very disappointing.

Site chose cheapest way possible ever time on everything. Ex. told breakfast served until 9:30; then staff told us they would not put any food out after 9:15. Did not impact us, but can you imagine coming to breakfast at 9:15 with several teenagers, little to no food out, and staff refuses to replenish? Even though you had been told breakfast was until 9:30? Our friends checked out early - no soap or shampoo, their bathroom floor was sticky, etc. We stayed to finish hiking in the Indiana Dunes NP. May return to park, but will definitely stay elsewhere.
