Best in customer service and friendly enviroment!
If your looking for a hotel that has friendly staff that remembers who you are and gets to know you and show you genuine intrest then this is the hotel to stay at when your in the area, but if your a regular here you already know that. for those of you coming through here for the first time then you should definitley give this hotel a try!!!!Since new ownership I have watched this hotel take a huge turn in the way things are handled and managed here. from Toni to Jillian who are spectacular in their professionalism to their staff at the front desk, to the amazing housekkepers who clean up after everyone who stays here, what a fantastic job you all do. I have seen disorderly and negative guests act in ways only a child would, and the staff here handles each situation with thoughtful consideration. They accomadate their guests and make sure that people leave with a smile on their faces. no hotel is perfect and situations arise and when they do they know how to handle them. THe breakfeast is the best your going to find around especially since the "pandemic", anywhere else around here is pretty much giving you the equivalent of a pb&j school lunch (if your lucky) and customer service would also be sub par. the pool room and hot tub is clean and maintained. Everytime Im out in the lobby someone is cleaniung something which for you doomsdayers and germaphobes should make you feel good about cleanliness! 100% better than any hotel between spokane and cda. If your staying somewhere else I feel bad for you cuz your payinjg for a room that deserves what you can only experience here!!!!!
Stay here to catch COVID.
The hotel has small plexiglass stands at the reception desk but there is a large center location that doesn't have plexiglass. The employees don't use the plexiglass and instead use the open section when speaking to and handing out cards to guests. The staff also do not wear masks. I guess they feel it's their freedom to give guests covid. Idaho may not have a mask mandate but the Fred Meyer nearby does. Choice hotels is a national chain. All of your employees nationwide should be wearing masks when greeting guests period! The staff were friendly, but we did not feel safe. The carpet in the hallway is worn and dirty. The room was ok, the beds were hard and the pillows uncomfortable. Also the pool is open. Also restaurants in Post Falls had no social distancing between tables. Wait staff speak to you without masks. On our return we hope we don't have to stop at all in Idaho. No wonder they have an outbreak!
OK for one night
I stayed in Idaho on purpose since Spokane Valley, WA didn't have the pool and hot tub open due to 'Covid' restrictions. Very refreshing to not see masks everywhere. Toni at the check in was very nice and helpful. The room was very small, but adequate and clean. The hotel is much older and needs a lot of TLC, especially in the pool area. Bedding and matrass were good, pillows not so much. Breakfast was prepackaged, but there were English muffins and cream cheese available, so I was ok. The hotel does not have any road noise and sits right next to the Centennial Trail, where I enjoyed a couple of long walks.
Adequate and open!
Coming from a lock-down state, this stay was refreshing (you know what I mean!). Staff was kind, room was clean. The rooms are very small, almost no place to put two suitcases, and the walls are thin. But for a quick overnight, it works.
Not Covid-ready
This is an average hotel with basic amenities. If not for the current situation with the virus, I would have given an average rating. Enhanced cleaning is not only questionable, it is lacking. No hand sanitizing stations, no table cleaning of the tables for breakfast, no social distancing either. Children run rampant over the breakfast area with no supervision. An employee was observed opening the cold cereal dispenser and reaching , with her bare hand to get a handful. Only a few chairs in the pool area with no attendant to clean surfaces. No masks in sight and none offered. Sparse linens and toiletries. Small, basic rooms with heavy dust in the corners of the aged carpet. Bed felt like a pull-out couch. And all this for $199.00 a night.
