We stayed at this hotel before an early morning flight from SJO. The room was larger than I expected and very clean. The staff was helpful and called a taxi for us in the morning. It would be even better if they provided a shuttle to the airport. Since we were leaving too early for the free breakfast, they provided packed breakfast, which was a roll, a plum, and a pre-made sandwich. Not great, but at least they tried. This hotel is near plenty of restaurants and a nice grocery store.

The Aloft Santa Ana experience was overall pleasant. Everything was clean. The amenities are fairly minimal but about what you need to get through the next day. Some additional amenities would be nice without breaking the bank - such as providing facial tissues and a backup roll of toilet paper. My teenage daughter used the last of the toilet paper which I didn't notice until I got up at 4 AM to use the bathroom. That was a major strike against the experience. The breakfast was plentiful, delicious and filling. The restaurant staff was really thoughtful and attentive to detail. The front desk staff was not always in the kiosk and at times difficult yo identify. One reception associate was friendly, polite and helpful. The other seemed like we were bothering her to be checking in to the hotel. The location is fantastic. I think the room was overpriced compared to another lovely, well-located property nearby. This would be a great place if you just need one night before moving on to the next experience. Good for young families and young adults in general.

One of our favorite places to stay in San Jose. It was our first time with our fur baby 🐶. Geovany and his staff are amazing and what’s even better is that Aloft is part of Bonvoy by Marriott 👏👍. Rooms great, staff great, pet friendly, clean and practicing Covid-19 protocol

We needed a place to stay on our final night in Costa Rica before flying out the next day. As a Marriott Member, the Aloft was a great option for relaxing after an adrenaline filled 8 day trip around Costa Rica. We were exhausted by the time we reached San Jose, so having a cute bar to grab a few drinks before turning on a movie and laying in our heavenly beds, was really exactly what we needed. One person from our group was going to have a full day at the hotel before flying, so having a pool was key to where we would book. Nice & comfortable stay.

Their ac wasn’t working and they did not tell us upon our arrival. The bar, restaurant and pool was closed. They also refused to give us water for free and told us that there are ice machines on every level that we was welcome to. We was offered nothing and wouldn’t be given even a partial refund unless we left the hotel.
