Stay at hotel

Reviewed 14 march, 2020

I thought the hotel was very well run 24/7 receptionist and very knowledgeable cleanliness excellent rooms cosy but breakfast staff not very welcoming maybe because they couldn’t speak much English and definitely value for money. The hotel is three minutes walk away from river and a 20minutes walk from old town square and is based nicely near Prague

Weekend break

This hotel is clean, comfortable and covers all your basic needs. We didn’t have any food or drinks during our stay so can’t comment on the quality on offer. The area is in Prague 5. It is quiet with a few hotels but near to a big shopping area where you will find the normal big chain eateries. There was a lovely foody market by the river on the Saturday morning with local food and drinks on offer, a band was playing too. Nearby there are lots of local bars and restaurants, not in the main tourist area so you do get more of an authentic experience. To get to Old Prague and New Prague the public transport is very good but we chose to walk every time ... my legs are still aching! We got to the hotel by using the Airport Express bus and then walking around 30 minutes... again our choice but you could use other forms of public transport or a taxi. This hotel is a good location for exploring all that the whole of Prague has to offer. Probably not ideal for Stag or Hen do’s! You will need to pay tourist tax on your arrival and leave a deposit, either cash or card for damages to your room. We would stay here again if we returned.

A mess

Me and my husband booked through Booking.com a double room including breakfast but the receptionist told us, that we have to pay each day for breakfast extra money. We communicated Booking and sent her our receipt (including breakfast). She insisted that we had to pay extra for breakfast also she told us that the tourist fee would be 21 € euro (when Booking told us that would be 7 €).She demanded a 50€ deposit for room services (that Booking NEVER informed us about). We tried to talk to the manager ,but he was "busy" all the time. Rude beyond imagination.Booking couldn't help, neither this rude hotel could. Honestly I would Leave this hotel this instant if we hadn't pay in the first place.

Post Xmas break

My sister and I booked to stay here for three nights but checked out after the first . It is shown as a 4*hotel . It is not ! The room was small and pokey and had a distinct smell of drains . Two teabags only , no coffee or milk . TV has 4 channels - none in English . I have never been in even a 2 * that did not have CNN .No frills what so ever . Bathroom small and although clean has an odour .Toiletries basic and watery . Breakfast was tired and very basic .It’s a good 20 mins from centre Prague 1 . However good for restaurants and shops . The absolute best thing about this hotel are the staff . Friendly and helpful. If you need to see Prague 1 it is accessible . But do NOT think you are booking a 4 * hotel .

Nice for short stay

Nice quite hotel on a quite neighborhood and about 20min walking from old town center. Rooms are not too big but clean and equipped, Breakfast is comprehensive and more than enough. Simple but nice to stay for a short visit to Praha.
