Deserves a higher rating but really needs to be updated
I travel a great deal for work and the staff at this hotel are some of the best. Check in is quick, friendly and efficient. A bottle of cold water is a welcome gift. Staff go out of their way to say hello and ensure the hotel looks it’s best. The beds are always comfortable and my room is always quiet. Check out is quick and painless with another bottle of cold water for road. The problem is that the hotel is showing it’s age. Rooms are in desperate need of updating. A brand new hotel has opened up close by and I am not sure the Holiday Inn can compete in it’s current condition. No matter how great the service is, people are going to start choosing the new hotel over this one. It is not fair to the great staff who work there. Ownership needs to step up and pay for the renovations so guests keep coming.
Too much freshener
Recently stayed here, we requested a fragrance free room, instead we got a wheel chair access room and there was still so much fragrance smell. Had to open window all night. Will not stay here again. The rooms are abit pricey.
Decent stay
Decent for a one night stay for hockey. Room was clean, plain but served our needs. Stay was very friendly and helpful. Free breakfast with plenty of options. Don't expect luxury, but it is the newest and likely best hotel in Prince Albert. Close to several shops and restaurants.
A typical Holiday Inn Express (a good thing)
I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and was treated by friendly staff and checked in quickly and efficiently. My room was clean, comfortable and quiet. After a restful night I enjoyed the breakfast buffet before being checked out in a seamless, efficient manner.
Second attempt; worse than the first?
I booked on a travel site weeks ago, and somehow ended up in the room above the furnace. Hint: avoid room #209 at all costs - it's loud, and the floor vibrates! We paid a pretty penny (well over what we usually pay for a hotel in the area) for a hotel with a pool, and the pool is out of service! Amazing. So, this is my second time staying here, and neither time has been acceptable. I doubt I'll be back.
