Stayed in the hotel after a long time because of the Pandemic and really enjoyed staying there. Byron (front office ) and Clifton ( house keeping ) deserve a special mention for their professionalism . I enjoyed my talk with Byron and Clifton was very helpful. Wish I could say the same for Ruth Anne and Mandy. People of different ethnicities do come and stay at hotels and that is something we need to learn. The hotel is in an excellent location and so easy to go everywhere. The Contractor who is taking care of the renovations needs to take care of some details. The Shower stall needs a ledge to put your toiletries and the night lights are flipped . Spoke to Jennifer who was wonderful .

I got married & reserved room blocks at Springhill Suites. It was a disaster! We had guests travel from all over and that was not the experience any of us were expecting, from having my guests told that the hotel was overbooked and that they would be displaced, to guests and the bridal party waiting in the lobby for almost two hours, to having to push my rehearsal dinner back because none of us could get in rooms to change, to having no towels in multiple rooms, to dirty bathtubs, and dirty wash cloths left hanging in showers, to dirty bars of soap left on the sink, to dirty condoms (YES USED CONDOMS) left in rooms, to having people checked into my cousin’s room while all his belongings were still inside, to MY BABIES being placed in a bed which we discovered had dried up blood on the sheets, to the front desk staff being completely useless during the whole process and the manager not being present. The guest experience and customer service did not live up to the Marriott standards. Not to mention, we are still in a pandemic & basic sanitary measures were not taken. Don’t stay here.

Poor customer service

We drove 50min arriving at 2pm on July 25, 2021 to this hotel. I am a Marriott elite member I could not check in early although I request on reservation. Could not understand why the guess in front of me got her keys. Well I patiently waited over a hr. It was 3:15 I decided to walk to see the pool to find it was closed. The pump or something was broke. I was told. Now here we are with the grandchildren. Our reason for coming was the pool it was a nice looking indoor pool. I called the night before to do a check n making sure my two rooms were booked and the reservation was fine. Why was I not told the pool was closed. When we arrived there was no sign to say pool was closed. The young lady at the desk who need to have customer service training. Did not get her name she was abrupt inpatient and did not try to work the situation out. She was only concern with whether I was going to cancel the reservation. I was not going to cancel. The staff would cancel because they could not accommodate us for our needs. I had waste almost two hours. Kids getting restless and was ready to eat. The changing shift staff member she tried to assist but I guess they were not used to thinking out the box. I coached her along. The holiday Inn was across the street so I asked could she call to see out of professional courtesy if they could allow her guest to use their pool. Well when she ask she was not use to negotiating. She said, “I have a quest who asked if she could use your pool since ours is closed”. Now you know what the answer was. We can not because we can not give them a key. Now keep in mind she was to ask for us which I know could be done. Had it done before read my post from two years ago I was surprise it was same hotel chain. I wish I knew before I book there. We end up driving from prince Frederick to Annapolis. She said she could not transfer the reservation. I am glad the staff in Annapolis Spring Hill suites were fabulous. I will write there review separate. night and day service. Please make sure your staff have customer service 101 training. I know COVID has changed the flavor of traveling and people wanting to work. It is the travelers who bring in business. These are definitely different times we are living. All the electronics make it less effective in just thinking or problem solving. You just can not push a button for that.
Fine if your sense of smell isn’t that great

The room smelled awful, like cat pee, but I think the AC unit was to blame. We had to buy two plug-in air fresheners just to make it tolerable. The lighting in the “sitting area” is dim and the couch was so stained I wouldn’t sit on it. The bathroom door wouldn’t shut without pulling it (hard!) than made a horrendous “CRACK” sound when pushing it back open. I asked if a second office chair (or any chair) would be possible because both of us were working (we were displaced while having new floors installed at home) but that request was ignored. There were two pluses: the 4th floor was very quiet, and the night manager is very friendly. I know I won’t recommend family stay here when they visit us, though.
