Better the second time if that’s possible
Lea was simply amazing. She treated us like royalty and looked after our every need. We’ve been here once before and the service is even better than we remember. As are the rooms and surroundings. Don’t think twice about booking this very special place. We just hope you have Lea looking after you!
Superb
What a change ! I had stayed at the hotel before the refurbishment, what has been done with this new proposal is superb. Spacious rooms with a chic and effortless decoration, peaceful and quiet swimming pool, lovely patio/terrasse for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food is very good and made from products of the region. The gastro restaurant had just opened and what a delight : impeccable and original dishes, from artichokes to lamb to a dessert with fennel, a first for me, I wish I could go back. Despite all the covid issues the staff was helpful and lovely, not an easy situation to work around for all of us but hey. I highly recommend and look forward to my next stay.
BEWARE!!
BEWARE! We booked through booking.com for this hotel for August 2020 with ‘free cancellation.’ We ended up having to cancel due to a change of travel plans and had a TERRIBLE experience from there. 1. After one week since we had cancelled, we had not received our refund or any contact from the property 2. We contacted them and the told us it was ‘a transfer problem’ and they would contact their bank 3. They did not get back to us so we had to follow up several times, eventually they said a tech was coming to their site and it would be fixed after the weekend 4. The next week they would not respond to any emails from us (or Booking.com from my understanding) 5. To this day this still have not responded We eventually had to have Booking.com refund us the deposit we were owed. This was nearly 3 weeks after cancellation!!!! Terrible, terrible experience- I would not trust them with your booking or money
Cycling stop off for a couple of days
A lovely, relaxing place to stay, friendly staff, good pool in a secluded garden. Really great food with a lovely open air terrace for drinks and dining. Interesting history to the chateaux with some rather unique furniture dotted around Would thoroughly recommend a stay here!
Lovely place to stay
Very pleasant and relaxing stay at the Chateau de Mazan. Food was great. Staff was welcoming and friendly! Bedroom was well equipped. Good value for money. The chateau is also conveniently located right in the middle of the village close to shops and market. Avignon is about 30 min, Isle sur la sorgue, 20 min, top of the Mont Ventoux 25 min.
