Mediocre. Disappointing.

Basic. It was clean - I'll give it that. Luckily we were only there one night. The sound of slamming doors from the hallway is very loud. The lighting in the room is terribly bright. Otherwise, all the very basic needs in the room are met, except there is no bottled water in the room. The most disappointing bit was that we PAID for a breakfast that we didn't get. We chose the rate that included breakfast. BE WARNED, if you don't get down there first - the kitchen staff apparently can't handle all of the hotel guests. We were told we wouldn't get any food for at least an hour. We got the feeling we were being turned away, and it didn't matter when I said we paid for it already. Just a shrug from the staff. We checked out with no breakfast, and told the receptionist. She said she couldn't do anything about a refund, but took our room number and name as if she would delivery the message. No word, no refund, no message. Nothing but a full charge for a service we didn't get. I do not recommend this hotel. They do the bare minimum , and do not address problems.

Very nice hotel.

The hotel was very nice. Staff were nice also. The hotel restaurant is a bit pricey but the food was well prepared and tasty. This is unusual for a hotel restaurant which are usually just mediocre. There are no restaurants any where near this hotel. This is the only downside to the property. The hotel is off of I-95. I would stay here again

Nice hotel

Newly updated room. Room was quiet and clean. Stayed for 2 nights. Like many hotels now, rooms are not cleaned everyday of the stay. There were about 5 tissues left in the box and no extra box left to replace. No bath mat available to use and no alarm clock in the room so had to keep looking at my phone for the time. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Free self-parking available in parking lot around the building. The restaurant and lounge is open at the hotel and serves breakfast and dinner; Not sure about mid-day. There is also a small pantry in the lobby for snacks and a few toiletry items for purchase.

Disappointing ending to visit

We were in Providence for my husband’s college reunion and checked out on September 19th. I realized later that afternoon that I had left a white blouse hanging in the closet in our room and called back to the hotel. The front desk directed me to housekeeping/lost and found where I left a voicemail asking someone to check the room, and get back to me. Never heard a word. I called again three times including one that went to the general manager, never heard from anyone. I got a couple of emails in response to me filling out a customer satisfaction questionnaire, but never did I hear a live voice. I think that it is terrible customer service, and I have worked in customer service all of my life so I do know good from bad. The blouse didn’t just walk away and that isn’t even the point anymore, it’s just polite to get back to one of your customers. It’s either still hanging in the room, housekeeping has it, or someone in the hotel took it. No other alternatives. Other than that, the stay was OK although I do not much care for the renovation of the hotel, very sterile looking.

Opal really made a great experience. Couldn’t have asked for a more hardworking server! Just the right way to end a day. Food was good, service was good, drinks were good. Will go back in the future for sure
