Such a lovely place!

Reviewed 15 january, 2022

Stayed from January 7 - 13, 2022, in H206. Lovely view of part of the golf course and a huge pond. Condo was very spacious and had everything we needed and wanted. When they say a "full kitchen" they mean it! Even extra food storage containers so you can store leftovers safely. Full washer and drier in the unit so we didn't need to bring as many clothes. This may seem silly, but all the light switches were labeled as to what they turned on. It made the space much more functional and easy to get around. We easily got a late check out on our day of departure. Check out is usually 11 am and we asked for 1pm. Also, if you like to bird watch, there were plenty of species on grounds. We booked this unit, air fare and car rental through Costco and it was a good deal.

Absolutely Perfect

It’s hard to evaluate or describe a place that’s picture perfect in every respect. They truly thought of everything. I know it depends on the unit, but our condo was roomy and comfortable and the furniture looked relatively new. There were no stains, tears or scratches on anything. The kitchen was fully stocked with every dish, pot, pan, flatware and small appliance that you could possibly need. We had a golf course view which was fine because it’s an easy walk to the beach. And, the walking trail was wonderful, which we used every day for our morning walks. Last, but not least, the bed was comfy and the bathrooms were fully stocked with upscale amenities (bath gel, lotion, shampoo, conditioner). Truly a luxurious experience and I highly recommend it. We can’t wait to go back!

Luxury condos on a nice ocean front resort

Reviewed 12 october, 2021

All of the condo units in the complex are large and airy with spacious lanaii or patio (on 1st floor). Truly a luxury complex. The kitchen and bathroom in our one bedroom unit (B201) were dated and worn and could use a make-over. Keep that great sub-zero fridge though. Both the indoor and outdoor furniture however were nice and comfy as was the bed. There were no condiments provided in the kitchen but there is a nice grocery store nearby. There is a lovely walking trail along the water leading all the way to the Fairmont Orchid. We really enjoyed our morning walks. Mauna Lani Point resort also gives you access to the nearby Beach Club which is lovely little beach great for snorkeling. The pool and hot tub area is nice and private. There is full outdoor kitchen as well as several barbecues. We would stay at Mauna Lani Point again. Great option if you like self-serve roomy accommodation.

Luck of the Draw…

This accommodation is hard to review. It truly depends on what you value. Every condo is appointed and decorated differently, as you are dealing with a rental management company, not a hotel. We stayed in F204 - This review reflects a one bedroom, ocean view condo. PROS: The condo had an abundance of space. Large living room, dining room with large table, full bathroom with a separate shower and soaking tub, half bath, spacious bedroom, well-appointed kitchen, office nook and lanai with additional seating and outdoor dining options. It also had a couple of SMART TVs and Wi-Fi. The private beach was an amazing place to snorkel and sunbathe. You could walk or drive to the beach. There was also a restaurant located there, although we didn’t get a chance to give it a try. The condo had a couple of beach chairs that guests could take with them and also provided plenty of beach towels. The condo contained everything for explorers to enjoy their adventures. In addition to beach gear, we utilized the cooler provided when we headed out for hiking trips. It was awesome to have cold water and lunch ready for our family when we returned to the car. The kitchen had absolutely everything we needed in order to cook the majority of our meals at the condo. The appliances were top-notch and worked very well. All of the cooking dishes and utensils to make breakfast, lunch, and dinner for our family of four were available. A washer/dryer are included in the condo and it allowed us to pack less. As with the toiletries, the paper goods, and dish washing tablets, you are also provided laundry detergent. A couple of additional perks…Guaranteed parking space in a covered area for your condo, a pool that is clean, located near the unit, and a common BBQ/outdoor kitchen area that we didn’t utilize, but was very tempting. We enjoyed the location, as we didn’t want to be in Kona. You should know that you’ll need about a half hour to get to the heart of Kona. You will be closer to the airport than Kona, BUT you’ll also enjoy the stars over the ocean at night. Because you are removed from the lights of the city. CONS: The decor was very dated and worn. The bathrooms are showing their age. The couch bed was worn out if you are planning on having more than 2 people in this space. If you are looking for the latest in style, this is not the place for you. OVERALL: This was a great value for our family of four, and really allowed us to comfortably enjoy 9 nights together after spending our days exploring paradise.

Construction nightmare

We were notified 6pm night before flying to big island mauna lani point condos that some pipe refitting would be done in our building. It was next door with work close to bedroom wall. I said this was unacceptable. We were sent to see a condo in another area with no oceon view( we payed for one) or golf course view, we went to payed for condo and construction working and gal said see how quiet they are, well next day the jackhammer started and had to leave immediately . No other condo available . We had to leave each day and could not stay and relax. The guys said they had been working on it for 3weeks. 6 days later more men were working on the condo on other side, so now work on both sides! We called and said could move to another one after it was cleaned, waited hours till done and moved. The couple below us said their condo had been finished 3 weeks ago! Wow and no one called to see if we would book another time, which we could have easily. Response from management was, we will make note of it, unacceptable, won't go thru destination resorts ever, owned by Hilton
