Good value for price

Bed, closet, dresser, tv and bathroom, hot water. Didn’t need much more. Took a few minutes to figure out what and where were the light and fan switches. I’ve stayed here once before. Near the Zocalo.
Well located but peculiar

This hotel is located very near to the cathedral square in Puebla, and everything of interest is within easy walking distance.
First impressions are rather strange as there are cars parked in the entrance and lobby, the latter under dust covers and seemingly a permanent feature. The reception area is quite small. The building is rambling and parts of it are under renovation (which, judging by previous reviews, seems to have been going on for some time).
My room was an internal one looking onto a corridor and light well, and initially lacked a curtain, though this was attended to quickly. It was reasonably clean, barring greasy marks on the wall at the head of the bed, and the bathroom too was acceptable. Towels are artfully arranged on the bed in a rather strange touch for the type of hotel. Others in my group complained that their rooms were dirty.
In-room wifi worked quite well.
We only stayed one night, and the hotel was fine as a place to sleep, though I'm not sure I would have wanted to stay much longer.
Other than location I have nothing positive to say about this place

Sheets and towels were old, threadbare and unclean. The room was dark. The 'window' with a half pane of smoked galss opened out onto the passage way so not only could people see silhouettes through the pane but the lihts in the passage way shone into my face all night.
The bathroom door would not open properly as it hit on the vanity and very little room to use the vanity unless you knelt on the loo.
When we arrived there was no loo paper in the bathroom. Too bad I didnt check before I used the bathroom because then had to run round looking for paper whilst people could see me through the shutters. Why put loo paper in the bedroom??????? When it is needed in the bathroom.
Great shower, great location.
De-Construction going on in the space next to my room, so hammering went all day starting early morning. No way to sleep in or come back to relax during the day.
Wifi in rooms non existent and even patchy at reception, which was so small our group could not fit in there.

All the staff it's friendly, and the location is the best! In the central part of the city and at night time has an amazing view to the cathedral of Puebla also it's in front of one of the most popular street stands for the locals in Puebla!
Dirty bed linen, miserable room, no reason to recommend.

Ropa de cama sucia con pelos. habitaciones sucias y miserables nada atractivo a querer hacer su estancia aquí.
Stayed in a double as part of a tour so cannot comment on the price.
The hotel is in an old colonial Spanish house near the Catedral and Zocalo so a great location.
However that is about all I can say that is positive.
The owner/reception seemed absolutely miserable, no smile, no interaction. When we returned later he seemed to be taking great care cleaning his black BMW to even offer a "hola".
The internal courtyard seems to be a permanent parking/storage for 3 sports cars yet there is no communal space nor lobby where you can wait or chat (the reception has a couple of chairs).
Wifi is patchy around the property and in the room the ssid is different/no password so felt uncomfortable connecting though that.
But really the rooms are the biggest downfall.
Ours and others are accessed by the internal courtyard which itself is a little dark. Our room only had one window opening onto this passageway so as a consequence had little/no light or ventilation and in all honesty felt like a prison cell. The floor was some badly laid cheap laminate the was not laid correctly (big gaps). The bathroom was not very clean.
On pulling back the bed sheets there were various pubic hairs and other long black hairs. We slept on top of the bed in our clothes.
Bizarrely the towels and spare toilet roll were folded intricately, think they need to spend more time attending the basic stuff.
