Quality in Quality Inn

I appreciate when reservations are correct, rooms, clean, everything works, beds are super comfy. Everything we needed was available. I had three rooms reserved and everyone was happy with our experience. A total of four rooms were taken for a wedding reception for my family and many other rooms too and it worked out beautifully. Thanks to the staff on duty that weekend 9/11, and Al for working w me to advise and get the reservations right. We needed a mix of pet friendly and non pet rooms. The facility could use a fan in the pool room, too hot unless your in the pool, but that’s the only ding I got.

I went down to breakfast this morning, to gather food for the family. Fair offerings for guests. Adequate. Then a young blonde girl came in. Dirty bare feet, open sores over her arms and face. She stood at the juice machine, chugging one OJ after another, then proceeded to root through the muffins. Obviously high on meth, twitching her way along, with a cloud of body odor and marijuana following. Management encourages long-term "guests" like this? Taking the bulk of their checks and letting them burrow into a room for weeks? Not the place for my money or family. And this farce of COVID precautions.... Along comes a pandemic. Lay off housekeeping staff. No services or cleaning when the pandemic does subside. Still blame the pandemic months later. Pocket the additional corporate savings. Ask Congress for financial aid for the hotel sector. Clean this filthy place, my room first!
Unkempt and Filthy

I was in the Pueblo area for a short while to visit a friend and due to the advent of the Coronavirus, was looking for a relatively unassuming area. I found Pueblo West and the Quality Inn & Suites happened to be the only place in the area with availability. I was cautious of booking because I don't normally stay at a Quality Inn but I saw the high ratings of the reviews that were there and decided to give it a shot. The location is the only positive of the hotel, it is located right next to US 50 with easy access into Pueblo. At check in, I noticed a couple of red flags: the receptionist wasn't wearing a mask and there was also no option for contactless check in, which I found strange. The countertops of the front desk also had clear markings on them, indicating that they had been touched by guests. The receptionist was helpful and welcoming. The room itself was extremely underwhelming. There was an extremely musty smell, as if there had been water damage in the room. The carpet was stained in more than one area and the room also had a fairly acrid smell. The nightstand was oddly sticky, as if a soda had been split in it. The bedspread was stained, and the pillowcases smelled greasy and had faint traces of smoke; the pillow itself was no better as when I took off the pillowcase, it was covered in sweat and saliva stains. The air conditioning unit was dysfunctional and the filter looked suspiciously dirty. The lampshades were heavily stained, as was the desk chair. The desk also was oddly sticky, similar to the nightstand and seemed to also have stains from a type of sauce. The bathroom was in similarly poor condition. The toilet had not been flushed and there was a wedge of toilet paper between the toilet bowl and seat; the underneath of the seat had evidently not been cleaned in a while, as there was dried pee on the underneath of the seat, which allowed the wedge to stick. The floor of the shower was dirty and the tiles were chipped in multiple places. There also was what appeared to be a condom on the floor near the rear of the toilet. The final straw was when I discovered a group of roaches hiding behind the toilet. The cleanliness standards were dreadful, especially when juxtaposed with the fact that this was during a pandemic. The hotel appears to be new, or at bare minimum newly renovated given the relative lack of reviews, so the cleanliness was an even bigger shock. I would heavily recommend booking elsewhere, there are many superior options in Pueblo.
Great Overnight stay

Made a reservation for an overnight stay on the way back home to Texas. This little hotel might be a bit out of the way but well worth the drive and stay. The desk clerk, SHANA, was totally awesome! Courteous, attentive, even masked! Check in was a breeze, the fresh-from-oven comp cookies were great and the room was immaculate. Stayed in the King Suite with 2 person hot tub; so so relaxing after a long drive. Even got a referral from SHANA about a local pizza place, ANGELO’S, that was also spot on with fresh, not canned, ingredients and NY style fare. Breakfast was waffles, bagels, wrapped muffins, chilled yogurt; better than standard menu for Covid era hotel menus. Can’t put enough emphasis on the total cleanliness of the property, in general. It didn’t disappoint last year on my first visit, and this latest, raised the bar further. Thanks again, Shana and staff!
Great price, great location & cute prairie dogs

This is a great hotel away from true city traffic at a great price. Clean hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Prairie dogs on all sides of parking lots - cute. Several fast food places nearby. Room was clean, good size.
