I booked a stay with Aldea de la Selva directly through their website, and paid extra for the flex option to be able to change dates. I tried to use the flex option to change the dates. I have reached out to them many times via email, WhatsApp, and calling both of the phone numbers listed on the website, but have not gotten any response. I have been trying for weeks, and they are totally unresponsive. It is getting close to the dates of my travel, and other places are starting to book up. I am almost ready to chock up the money I spent on this hotel as a sunk cost and book somewhere else. Strongly recommend not booking directly through their website.

After our flight was canceled I called on August 27 at 10:10. A young woman answered me on the phone; It was surely Fernanda (according to Yaninna who received us that day); He confirmed to me on the phone that after the flight change we will only pay for 2 nights and not 3 nights. That day, we met Yannina ; who at first appeared not to find our reservation; she finally told us that we had to pay for 3 nights and not 2 nights. Otherwise we can cancel but we will be charged €170 per booking for cancellation costs. In itself, no solution is offered to us except to pay the full price for 3 nights. What we did so we could sleep somewhere. I immediately wrote an email to management about this bad follow-up of our case. No answer. No commercial gesture for an establishment that wants to be of high standing. Here, money takes precedence far ahead of customer satisfaction. Don’t go…

the hotel has very nice facilities. all rooms are surrounded by jungle, and are well equipped. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is very good. the restaurant has very good cuisine, abundant and at a good price, although they do not have too many options to choose from

This place looked like somebody had a good idea but couldn't really execute it. The rooms were dark, and the plumbing was iffy. We only ate once in the restaurant (other than breakfast, which was acceptable) and it was pretty awful. The furniture in the lodge building/restaurant was unbelievably uncomfortable. Not many people staying there in early March 2020. Looked to me like this place is on the verge of going out of business (and now that it's late March 2020, and Covid-19 is out of control, they almost certainly are). Nice swimming pool, though.

The hotel is a lodge type hotel. It locates in a jungle like setting. It is nice setting if you like nature. However the maintenance of this hotel is not very good. Spiderweb can be seen at the door. Since the surrounding is jungle type of environment. Bugs might like to keep you companion if you don’t mind.
