Refreshing Stay
I am a Dad of 4 and my wife and I like to give each other occasional trips away simply to be refreshed. Some friends recommended that I try the Jackson Park Inn. I had never heard of it, but I made my way to Pulaski just for this hotel. It was a bit nondescript as I pulled up. However, as soon as I walked in I was impressed with the place from beginning to end. The interior of the building has been very nicely renovated and the whole staff led by Wendy (Manager) we’re extremely accommodating. They allowed for early check-in and had the room looking and smelling fantastic. This may have been the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I also went down and ordered food in the restaurant and they offered to bring it up to the room for me, even though they didn’t advertise room service. Speaking of the restaurant, Al’s on First was also very good. I’m normally not a big fan of restaurants in hotels, but this one hooked me and I ate there for both dinner and lunch. Their house made soups and smoked meats were exceptional. Weather for business, another solo trip, or a getaway with my wife, this is a place I hope to return too.
Really Nice Hotel
Found this hotel because we got tired of staying in the other stereotypes. This is a beautiful completely renovated hotel. The rooms and the hallways have the exposed brick and beautiful wooden beams. This hotel and our room was exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated. Al's on First, the restaurant downstairs was awesome as well. Our dinner was delicious and the drinks were great. There's a little park directly across the street with a nice gazebo for relaxing. There's not alot for sightseeing here, we were overnight guests to and from Gettysburg, PA. Only one minor thing I would say is, there is a train that runs next to the hotel will wake you in the wee hours of the morning. Didn't really have a problem with that, but I'm sure some people would find it annoying. Nevertheless, I would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay.
Hidden Gem
Our golf foursome was taking our second sabbatical to play Draper Valley Golf Course and we found Jackson Park Inn online. First time we stayed at one of the hotels grouped around Dublin but second time we stayed at JPI which was amazing. We had adjoining rooms that viewed the river and the rooms were spacious and decorated amazingly. Exposed beams and brick plus superb bedding. First class. Al's on First was another pleasant surprise...smoked wings were great and service was good. Not much to downtown Pulaski but Jackson Park Inn is worth the trip.
What a wonderful hotel
Just two travel nurses driving through and decided to stop here. There isn’t much around here but what a hidden gem. It is a renovated hotel with such a rustic feel. The beds are very comfortable and it is super clean. There is a great restaurant bar down stairs with delicious food!! Stay here if you get a chance
Lovely hotel but...noisy rooms
We stayed here to ride the New River Trail. It IS a lovely hotel and location but I have to admit that the previous reviews were true ... the room was very noisy! The walls are thin - as in you can hear conversations. Between our neighbors next door with 2 very active young kids who were up and running quite early (I have traveled a lot with my young kids and have always taught them “hotel quiet”) and our above neighbors with very creaky floors and noisy plumbing who were up past midnight... well, the nights weren’t exactly restful. On the positive, the room was lovely and clean, the front desk polite and the restaurant (Al’s) very good with shaded outdoor seating. JP is obviously a very expensive renovation and I applaud them - but an investment into insulation might have served them well. All in all, better than a chain for sure!
