Grand Palladium Punta Cana - take 2

Reviewed 25 january, 2023

We took a return trip to Grand Palladium Punta Cana after visiting in 2020 & had a wonderful experience again. The staff was lovely, especially Miguel de Garcia at La Catedral. It's a big resort when you include the other 2 Grand Palladium properties, but if you visit pools or restaurants multiple times during your stay, the staff will go out of their way to remember you. We most often used the "less desirable" area of the beach (less sand, more trees), but it was quieter in that area & preferable for us. The specialty restaurants are not the best ones we have ever visited at all-inclusive resorts, but we were still satisfied. The buffet restaurants were very good. We used the spa for a massage & hydrotherapy for the first time & really enjoyed the experience. The loft room with connecting suite was great for a family with teenagers. It gave everyone more space & privacy. The only complaint we would have is the amount of staff trying to sell you services & excursions. There are multiple working at every pool & beach area of the resort, which results in getting propositioned multiple times every day no matter where you choose to relax. Overall we really enjoyed our vacation here & would come back again in the future.

Reviewed 24 january, 2023

We spent 14 days in Grand Palladium Punta Cana, we were 6 adults and 2 children and we have wonderful time there,Childens were happy stay in kids club time to time, they likes all staff which worked there, especially Margarite. Our favourite swimming poll was Behique and animations team was great. Beach was cleaned daily and we enjoyed it. No complain with food.Staff was doing theys best, always polite and funny. We did not speak spanish, but we enjoyed our time figuring out have to communicate Cons- rooms! We have booked 3 rooms, Family room was not ready when we arrived - we waiting 2 days for pillows for children, the smell was coming from bathroom every evening. Next room - water was leaking from bathtub to floor and mattress was very used and uncomfortable, Third room -water was continuously leaking in toilet. Overall - we have nice time and the rooms problems was excepted as we are reading previous review,

This is my third time going to this resort. First time was for my wedding then went in 2019 and now Jan of 2023! Only ever have a great experience. My 3 year old wanted to spend the whole trip at the kids club, my 2 older went on our last day for a hour and were so upset that they didn't go more! The guys running the activities wanted you to get involved but if you said no they weren't pushy! House keeping were very friendly! The food was really good, they even had a food truck at the pool for lunch if you didn't want to leave the pool. The whole resort was really clean!

Nice grounds, good food, rooms not great

Reviewed 23 january, 2023

Took a short family vacation to this resort in Jan 2023. Had 2 rooms since it was 5 people total. First the good stuff Grounds looked really nice and were well kept. Food quality was good, if not great (although I experienced the buffet only, could not get reservations for any of the a la carte restaurants. Pool and beach were lovely. Bar staff and roving waiters were great. Outdoor entertainment staff were great. The not so good (and the terrible) Very weak water pressure in shower and minimal warm water (like 2 mins worth) in one room Electrical outage/issue affecting one room which caused dark entry way and loud buzzing one night that could be heard inside the room. Not a hotel issue specifically, but the company that did transport between the airport and the hotel took almost an hour to find a transport vehicle to get us to the hotel on the way in. Could not get a dinner reservation for my family at any of the a la carte restaurants. The hotel was almost full during our stay, so maybe we would have had better rooms at another time, but still the water issues were basically inexcusable. The fact that the hotel was full could have also affected the dinner reservations. Not sure that I would repeat at this particular location.
