The hotel is in serious need of an update. The carpet was in need of a stretch. The egg scramble could use some flavor. The employee, Cindy, is sweet and very helpful. Beds are comfy. Punxsutawney is an old town without options.

Punxsutawney Gem

This is a great place to stay while in Punxsutawney. The Dinsmore room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The area is very walkable, across the street is a park and a lovely gazebo in the yard.The breakfast was served hot and included a fresh fruit (if you wanted more all you had to do was ask), coffee, orange juice, and bacon. Shannon is a lovely inn keeper and very helpful.

Perfect B&B in Downtown Punxsutawney

We had a very nice overnight stay in a queen bed with shared bathroom. Shannon was friendly and welcoming. We easily toured around Punxsutawney on foot, had dinner, then a restful night. Our breakfast with another couple was delicious. Cindy prepared everything with a flare & provided helpful information. The facility is getting a new roof but no inconvenience for guests. We loved our stay and hope to return to Barclay B&B!

Absolutely LOVED staying at The Barclay. Communication with Crow was great. The decor of the house was very nice, like stepping back in time. The rooms were very spacious, we were on the 2nd floor in the Sunderland and the Swartz. The bathroom in the 2nd floor had a deep soaking tub that was so relaxing. There were several nooks and places to sit, socialize, read or relax throught the house. The location can't be beat... right next to the library where Phil lives contrary to our thinking he lived in Gobblers Nob outside of town. Prime location to walk everywhere in town. I would definitely stay here again coming into town, oh and try Punxy Phil's for a bite as well ;)

Warm and Friendly

We had a very pleasant stay. Our room was large, very clean and nicely decorated. There was a nice gazebo in the yard, perfect for relaxing down time. The staff was kind, helpful and very accommodating. The location was perfect for us. We were able to walk to most places we wanted to visit, and there were good nearby dining options. We would give this B&B a high recommendation.
