Good value, comfy beds, EXCELLENT meals!

No complaints here! The room was huge and whilst the furniture is dated and the room a bit dark, it was completely comfortable, clean and perfectly suitable for our needs. The star of the show was the food! Well priced, every element perfectly presented and tasty! Lovely fireplace and atmosphere. I’d encourage people to book the breakfast with their deal as we found this great value. Close to town but a bit of a hike up a hill from town (which in the rain is not fun) but taxi is only $10 which was cheaper than parking our car! Staff were lovely and deserve to have a pat on the back during these tough covid times!

Dated, dark and disappointing

Reviewed 10 june, 2022

Stayed 3 nights for a conference onsite. I kick myself for not looking at the neighbouring options. For the price charged I feel burnt! The hotel building and room decor is 80’s: dusky pinks, bronze and chintzed. The room was dark. I had a basement, courtyard room - the opening door and gardens were nice. The single glazed, aluminium framed door, which didn’t close properly, sub-optimal. As a result the room was COLD. The last century technology to get the heating on (note- the light switches next to the door need to be on) did not resolve this situation. There’s a dearth of power sockets in the room- the hotel predates electric revolution! The pathetically pressured and vaguely warm watered, tiny shower head, over the bath, was annoying on all charges. No in room/ hotel recycling available. All bathroom products are single use plastic wrapped. The bed was comfy and room clean, it’s a short walk to lake edge and gardens. But overall dated and disappointing, I dont recommend and won’t return.

Apalling

We were booked to stay at this hotel either side of walking the Routeburn Trail. A treat pre and post tramp. 4 days before we were due to depart for the S island my husband got an e mail saying they had cancelled our booking - but - wait for it - “the good news is, we’re not going to charge you a cancellation fee”. No explanation, no apology, nothing. We were able to use the “Queenstown Motel Apartments” which are a couple of hundred yards away from the hotel instead. They were great and we would use them again, and avoid the Millenium Hotel.

CENTRALLY LOCATED IN QUEENSTOWN.

We stayed for two nights in a group with AATKings, it is an older hotel. The rooms were clean, tidy and the beds were comfy but our room was facing the road which was not a good view. It is located in the heart of Queenstown, providing good breakfast.

Great stay!

Enjoyed a short stay here - older hotel but rooms were clean, tidy and the bed was super comfy. Town centre is only a short walk away and you had the option for secure parking under the hotel. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again!
