My husband and I had a hard time deciding where we wanted to go for our honeymoon, and we are so happy that we chose Costa Rica and Arenas Del Mar. From the moment you arrive, you are definitely on vacation and don’t have to worry about anything. They gave us a welcome drink, gave us a tour and took our bags and us to our room. Everyone at the hotel is friendly and helpful. You can call the front desk for anything you need, including a golf cart that will be at your door in less than 2 minutes. We booked all of our excursions through the hotel, including a tour of Manuel Antonio National Park and zip lining, which was amazing and so much fun. Our tour guide for the national park was Mao, and he was so friendly, funny and knowledgeable. I also got a massage which overlooked the ocean and was so relaxing. The food was incredible and I loved that they had a vegan and vegetarian options as well. Breakfast was complementary and we looked forward to it every day because it was so good. We saw lots of wildlife, including sloths and monkeys on the hotel grounds while we were there, and it was definitely a highlight of our trip. The view from the room is incredible, and you have the beach and mountains to enjoy from your balcony. If you are not sure about booking this hotel, I guarantee you you won’t regret it. Thank you Arenas Del Mar for the most perfect honeymoon!

We stayed they 3 days as a family with 2 kids (3&5) in March 2020. This was the last stop or our 3 week road trip in Costa Rica and what an amazing one ! The hotel is surrounded by nature, wildlife in a beautiful setting. The staff is extremely friendly, they wend above a beyond. We did the night guided tour around the hotel and it was amazing, we saw so many animals, even a boa !!! the pools are great, the beach beautiful... this hotel is truly a little gem ! we did not have a room overlooking the beach but next time we will take one :-) I can only recommand this place and hopefully we will come back !!! thank you for all the nice memories !!

We traveled to Arenas Del Mar in early October and had one of the best family vacations ever. I cannot rave enough about the hotel, food, staff, room and location. Arenas Del Mar sort of has the perfect combination - beach, rainforest, wildlife, pool, relaxation. Breakfast (which was included with the price) was amazing. Beachside lunch with sloths hanging out above the best. And the staff truly are kind and genuine people who made our stay a 10+. I would come back with friends any time. Thank you for a great week!
This resort is an absolute gem!

We had six of us, my wife and I, our three kids ages 18, 17, & 14, and a boyfriend age 19 stay at Arenas Del Mar in July 2021. The resort was amazing. We do a lot of travel, and absolutely loved this resort. It greatest asset was the staff who attended to our every need. In addition to the staff, the property is incredible as it resides in a rainforest that meets with a private beach on the Pacific. Our rooms and beds were comfortable, the breakfasts that come with your room is fantastic, and the animals onsite were very cool to watch. We saw tons of monkeys, a couple of sloths, iguanas, and several rabbit like creatures (I cant remember their names). The beaches are very good for surfing, boogie-boarding, body surfing, etc....We had activities/tours set up each day and left early on multiple occasions where they packed us a breakfast to go. The guys who took you around the property on golf carts (it is extremely hilly and resides on 11 acres), as well as the servers, concierge, and front desk staff were so nice and accommodating. The spa was ok in my opinion, however, everything else was unbelievable. I had a chance to chat with the managing director of the resort a couple of times and he truly valued our candid feedback and was very engaging. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone travelling in this area.
