Mercure Quimper Centre
The hotel is located just in front of the railway and bus station. At the reception they give products for toilet and tea and coffee bags. There is a boiler in the room but not a fridge. A supermarket is very close.
Choir tour
We had a comfortable stay apart from breakfast where we were constantly running out of food and crockery and on the last morning there was no milk either, waiting for a dilivery. There seemed to be only two staff on trying to meet people's needs, felt sorry for them really as they were getting all the complaints. This trip was booked well in advance, so plenty of time to get organised for a large party of people. Hopefully this is useful for anyone taking a large number of people to stay at this hotel. On the plus side its a beautiful city about 15mins walk away.
Superb Choice
You can't beat the Mercure chain- service, locations, food. The location was ideal- right in front of La Gare with most easy access to trains and buses. The walk to the center is easy. It is a perfect place to stay for visiting Quimper and also for accessing transportation to other towns in the area. The room was small but well appointed. Also it was air conditioned. The breakfast was top notch and there is also a delightful terrace. I highly recommend this Mercure
Excellent stay and service & the "car park" Myth!
My wife and I stayed here for one night we had a superior room which was excellent comfortable bed and tea & coffee & kettle supplied. Front desk staff were exceptionally helpful, booking restaurants for us etc. The hotel is straightforward to find off the motorway (we don’t have GPS-Luddites!) the centre is a 10 mins walk away by the river. Now the car park! Access is ok for small and medium cars, estates, SUV’s will struggle and 4 x 4’s not much chance… However once inside the car park (access via a voice button to reception) head for the outside space as the bays outside are less restrictive. All in all enjoyed our stay will stay again
Great breakfast and location
This is a great location not far to walk around the old Town. Our room was very clean and the gentleman and lady on reception were really helpful and spoke great English. I have to say the breakfast was my favourite such a great selection of different things to eat set out in a separate large breakfast room. There is parking at the hotel but if is very narrow to get in and out so be careful if you have a larger sized car. There is however plenty of parking straight across the road and there are lots of places to park for free in France unlike England.
