Huge improvement
I will have redo my review this place after my original review. Day 4 of my stay things did turn around for the best. Elena the concierge did raised our concerns with general management Alberto who did Take the time to sit down with us and did turn things around for us. Chef Clemente did made us an amazing lunch and dinner with the Mexican flavor we wanted. Special thanks to Jonathan and manny for the amazing night of habanero eating contents. A night we will never forget. Another big thanks you to Rodrigo who always checked on us to see if we needed anything we appreciate everything nothing went unnoticed. Lastly to the entertainment team sexy roger, Benjamin (chocolate) and paco for always keeping us looking forward to the next activity and entertained. They need more resources to improve their work. The Mia reef has an amazing group of hard workers who will go far and beyond to make sure you are having an amazing time and enjoying your stay. I think this team has the potential to take this place to the next level. Thank you guys for changing my mind from not wanting to come back to a huge must come back. Oh I can’t forget about every single damn bartender who made sure my cup was never empty. Jorge and Luis thank you the pool team is the best.
Disappointed
I have been here multiple times and have always been impressed with rooms & service. Granted, we’re in a COVID world now, but this is the first time I’ve been disappointed with our room at Mia Reef (and formerly Avalon). The amenities are less than “normal” but, I suppose that’s to be expected. Our Deluxe Ocean view room is the smallest I’ve experienced here. Thank goodness, with our large group of 12 (!!) ours is the worst room. General Manager, Alberto, shows no empathy for our disappointment. First time I have had any disappointment here. ☹️

I visited Mia Reef for a bachelorette trip. We had an amazing time. The staff is so nice and friendly. They were there to help us with anything we needed but also to join in on a good laugh. Rodrigo, Jorge, Hans, Benjamin,

We were there for first time everything was great due to the covid everything is reduced but the staff was great the bartenders and the sexi Roger the DJ y el chocolate Benjamin were awesome we absolutely love them the beach is wonderful we definitely going back i hope to see all you guys next year juan oviedo

We have visited Mia Reef every year for 7 years and still love it. It was scaled back this year due to Covid so they definitely are working with a smaller staff and way smaller menu. However, it was still great! All the bartenders were their same happy selves like Luis Arias, Saul and of course Nico and Roberto were awesome servers. The entertainment staff worked hard to entertain the few people that were there. We absolutely loved Roger and Benjamin!! We will see you all next year ❤
